Probably but I’m sure I’ll still have them in a few lineups. Hopefully I’m not late the party. Just one of them probably does good right?

I can’t do it. I am never the type to jump in when I miss the boat. I just ride it out and usually watch the money go to waste. I am stubborn like that. Leishman > Phil and Bryan>Gordon at their respective tags.

    Here’s a sweet 0/6 I had

    JT
    Woodland
    Finau
    Scheffler
    Keegan
    Kokrak

    Nice.

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Sorry, but that’s insane, that could’ve been a winner in a different week!

I don’t think this wet weather is going to hurt scoring. It might even slightly help by making the greens more receptive. As I think someone already said, they will probably postpone play during the worst of it. I suspect it’s going to be a difficult week to pass people who have more players making the cut than you.

Tim said he thinks he has most if not all of the csv’s but was waiting to see if the person comes back.

    @jtgus

I will do it tonight for donations….but i suspect you all will wait until I/cincibuck get to it.

RELAX all the info is handy, it will get done before Atlanta :)

I played Leishman, Phil, Gordon, the 2 studs I think smash and then one of the guys I was heavy on in my main slate lineups

Who is everyone playing in showdown? After so many of my golfers missing the cut I am lost.

  • eruthruff

Among the cheap guys near the top, who would you trust the most in weekend golf (gpp or double up)? Mickelson, Gordon, Hughes, Steele, Todd, Streelman, Na, Kang, Z. Johnson?

I suppose Mickelson is the obvious choice. He could go bad at any time and get a triple or two, but he can score OK on DK even when he’s not playing well. He likes poa.

My gut GPP pick might be Todd. He hasn’t been good lately (including the last two courses that should have suited him), so maybe this is two-round fluke. He’s really not suited for DK scoring (like Furyk)…well, maybe he gets you a BOFR. But he did have a great stretch not too long ago where he won back-to-back weeks. He’s hit almost every fairway and green. He’s also benefited the least from putting.

Sitting in 2nd in $888 and first in $200 with Phil-Rory-Hovland-DJ-Oosthuizen-day. Gonna be a stressful weekend!

Nice! That lineup has great upside if Day plays like he did a few years ago!

I like them in that order. I play Stuard and Doc a lot also so they would probably come in before Steele for me

  • Felixxberg

@noddy: Since everyone plays in the morning, I don’t expect a morning/afternoon difference. I’m definitely lost too. 33 guys have an average 3rd round under 70. Rahm, McIlroy and Hubbard are the top 3. I normally like to play balanced instead of stars and scrubs, but finding tomorrow’s Steele or Gordon could vault you to the top. That said, I’m not going under $7K.

@eruthruff: Mickelson is indeed the obvious choice, especially since it’s a known lefty course (see Bubba and Harman past results). That said, I think Na is the safest. He’s also always a threat to shoot a -8!

Good luck GMoney! I had long post about trying to avoid opening up your winnings tabs and just sweating it out knowing what you need to happen/not to happen. But I think with Golf that is different as there are so many moving parts, it almost seems like you need to have it open and refreshing. Whereas with NFL/NBA/MLB it can be a little easier to follow along and have a good idea of where you are without having to refresh DK constantly.

  • JTAx33

NBA is the only sport that it’s worth checking up top constantly for. The other’s can swing so so quickly

    @imadonk11 excellent advice!

Last year i had my biggest win so far—seeing amounts that people here have won its embarrassing to me to post it but it was BIG to me and i greatly needed it. It was for NFL-i didnt have my internet on so i couldnt watch it on tv or the computer but i was keeping track on the DK app. The pool was abt 14k and top prize was 5k. Anyway i was in 2nd place for most of game then somehow i was in 1st place for abt 3 hrs. I was talking to a friend on the phone and at same time i kept refreshing my winnings constantly….i just couldn’t believe it! I know nothing abt football and here i was in 1st place! Then abt 10 seconds later someone took away my first place but i still ended up winning 2K by myself-nobody tied for 1st or 2nd place. Can u believe i was 1.5 points away from 5k? So anyway i seem to do better not actually watching the game or race but its so tempting to keep tabs of what im winning or “how close” i am to actually winning something!

Wow that is a solid lineup especially in a small field GPPs. Pretty ballsy to play some volatile guys like Phil, Day and Louis all in same lineup !

I personally don’t trust Phil to Top 3 and play 4 good rounds but all you really need is one more good round from and avoid disaster in the other for his price and ownership.

  • timusbr

I like looking at winnings. its a summary of where your at.

$0 not much need to delve into any contests.
a handful of LU’s I wouldnt even bother looking sometimes.
MME – always something happening and if you have a gazillion LU’s over a bunch of contests, it helps to steer you to the action. but there is always a point that you have a LU crash the party into bigger money. You can tell by the current winnings.

If I’m not mistaken, no one has a 6/6 in the 150 man Happy Meal! We should run a Round 3 Showdown Happy Meal!

  • timusbr

Not much talk about tiers. I am finding that I like this more and more. I cant seem to figure out how I am doing but I think I could/will move up to bigger prizes. T2 is the only one where everyone still playing.

your contest might vary but I think its close to all
    t1 33% MC
    t2 2% Koepke wd
    t3 45% MC
    t4 34% MC
    t5 53% MC
    t6 70% MC

I’d put my chalk lineup in it

  • NDNole

Is the back 9 a little easier than the front through 2 rounds?

  • Rafaguy213

Wow what a day. Really disappointed in myself, but dfs golf is a very hindsight game. Told myself and a buddy that this was the week of all weeks to fade the chalk. I don’t think we can honestly say for sure, but I think the Covid cloud is bringing even more variance to dfs golf. JTs body language during the featured groups was something else today, the guy looked like he couldn’t get out of Connecticut soon enough. Then out of nowhere Cauley WD’s bc of the Denny test. This could happen to anyone and it will continue.

I really think this is going to turn into the wild west of DFS. Looking ahead, does anyone even remotely think Tiger is going to play next week or the week after at Muirfield? Are they still allowing fans to come? I think there is no chance Tiger plays and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he just calls it the season or decides its only Augusta. Tiger doesn’t need to play but the PGA will need Tiger to play once the bigger names start dropping out.

    Ok tilt over….

    I had a 0/6 in the 100 SE….

I have a bunch of 4/6 and 1 5/6 in the birdie.. Cantlay, Xander, Leisman, Hovland, Sneds, and Harman (MC)

Any suggestions on strategy for Weekend golf? I’ve played a few times but in MUCH more casual situations.

We could use a showdown contest in the league.
please dont call it the Happy Meal it will confuse people. I dont think anyone wants to track results but it could be fun having some side contests. all majors prize 1 total classic score prize 2 all day 1 showdown prize 3 all day 2 showdown ……..get rid of classic or add in weekend.

but a showdown contest would be good. Im in

    60 lineups
    0% 6/6
    18% 5/6
    32% 4/6

Never thought I would consider that not terrible all things considered

Love Tiers … T6 was rough … I think Dahmen and Reavie were the only ones to make it through … I got a few 6/6 that could save my bacon overall for the week
