Maybe I am naive … the PGA and PGA players are fairly wealthy … the tournaments have a hefty purse each week … with everything going on … you are telling me someone can’t pay for these caddies to have their own room and meals delivered right now? This seems asinine. I earlier stated it seems like they are being proactive … but this would be an example to me of not being proactive.

Agreed but the Tour has never cared about the caddies and does nothing for them – the players are talent and that’s all they have and will care about.

Sucks as I know a few caddies and their stories of being second class citizens at most tour events are comical.

What are people thinking about Abraham Ancer? He got a big bump in DK salary from 8,000 to 9,000. Worth it or no?

I play him every weekend so I m biased I guess but going with him again this weekend too.

Not sure if this was earlier, but I heard Putnam is out as well. Local radio mentioned it, don’t have an electronic source.

PGA Radio mentioned two unnamed golfers in addition to GMac and Champ. So, perhaps they were referring to BK and Putnam. Pure speculation.

If we are having this much trouble in golf, I don’t see how we play basketball, football and baseball. The NBA bubble idea is going to be a train wreck. You can’t isolate a thousand people, and expect to have zero positives. Once one player gets it, he will infect his whole team. The pampered NBA stars, like all pro athletes, are going to expect to have all the luxuries in life, like maid service etc. You think a maid making minimum wage is going to give two shites about the NBA’s bubble? T

The only thing that will change it is if we as a society switch our mindset about the virus completely. Half the country is scared to death about contracting this disease and that is not going to change anytime soon.

I wonder how rigorsly NASCAR is testing? They have been running races for weeks, and I have not heard much about any COVID-19 problems. Seems like the disease could spread a lot easier in a sport like NASCAR, with so many team members working on one car, then in a sport like golf.

Just my two cents. I would be disappointed if they stopped playing golf, but life would go on.

Got my player pool to a nice and tight 36.

Have pieces of JT, Rahm, Webb and Bryson up top. Fading most of the 9ks outside of Rose and Ancer. All over the 8600 and below level starting with Im. No Watson or Leishman for me.

    Winner: Hovland
    Fade: Cantlay and Bubba
Sleeper: Benny An (putting regression has to catch back up at some point…. right?)

Good catch. I was thinking about that while I wrote it but still landed on the wrong number – LOL

We either need to accept that there will be positive tests (everywhere) going forward and continue with our lives, or just shut everything down. Until there is a vaccine (and to be honest I wouldn’t want to be first in line for that one), we won’t be able to just tip-toe around this thing. It has to be one or the other.
I am in the “open everything up” camp, and I say that while being sympathetic to those with depressed immune systems. My mother was diagnosed with glioblastoma a few years back, and her immune system was significantly depressed with her treatments. We had to wear masks and be very cautious about her surroundings, but that was our responsibility. You will never get healthy, asymptomatic individuals to comply completely without a total shutdown.

As far as DFS goes, it really makes 4 day golf tourneys an uneasy play. It’s one thing when Watney WD last week at E after Day 1, although it’s plausible he could’ve gotten into the weekend. It’ll be another thing if you have a guy in contention and has to pull out due to his daily temperature test although he feels fine.

Great Post Spud! Agree on all accounts

My personal opinion is no. He seemed to play way above his head last week

Niemann, Hovland and Harman are going to be the higher owned guys. Kisner projected to be very low owned.

Brooks was absolutely going to win this week. Unfortunately, I wasn’t sure who was going to finish 2nd…so I’m not sure who to pivot to.

I think I read that Poston has very poor results on bent grass greens. Kisner just can’t compete in a birdie fest. He’s more of a dark horse to win a US Open than one of these.
