My dumb question – Leaving for Vegas tomorrow. I can reserve my NFL entries tonight and be able to edit this weekend while in NV right? Thanks!

  • Volkster6

    Believe so yes!

  • wolfjb1

Yes, yes and yes (assuming this is about Fanduel and/or DK)

  • Mylthazz

No for DK. You can only view live lineups. You used to be able to edit them, but about a year ago they changed it. Unsure about FD.

Correct. You can not play in Vegas. I had the (mis)fortune of going out to Vegas for March Madness last year. It cost me 50,000 crowns and two months of Diamond level because I could not play for 5 days. You can bring up DK but it will come up and say that you are in a restricted state and then your account basically becomes read only…

My Jan 2019 Vegas trip it was fine. Entered lineups here in Mass. and edited them down out in Nevada. Leaving again Jan 9th, was planning on doing the same thing I have been for 10 yrs now.

For years you’d be able to enter DK on the ground or on the plane when traveling to Vegas then edit while there. It changed this year. Had a Vegas trip in January that was fine. Then in May it was different. Couldn’t edit anything. Didn’t even bother checking when I was back in October and November.

Stupid. Just look at the states that the major sites don’t take customers from. The casino/lottery/reservation/morality lobbies can suck it. Lobbyists in general can suck it.

Ok. But since I’ll be in Laughlin, NV Jan 9-15, could I just go over cross the Colorado River to Bullhead City, Ariz to edit the lineups I placed before I left Boston ? I know I could drive to Calif but its too far.

  • mtdurham

Just let your brother have your password and enter the lineups for you. DK doesn’t have any enforceable rules for that sort of thing.

Draftkings is banned in Arizona as well.

    thank you.

Just to bump this with my info.
Played some low stakes football showdowns in Boston yesterday. I am now in Nevada editing those showdown lineups.
Same thing I’ve been doing every year. Nothings changed in Nevada.

did you just reserve the entries prior to arriving in nevada or did you enter the players then switch them once there, i will be in vegas for the superbowl and trying to figure out how i’ll do the superbowl showdown

    Entered contests in Mass.
Editing showdown lineups as I want in Nevada.
It won’t let me “enter” more contests in this state. Been this way for me every year coming here. Nothing has changed. I even claimed my DK “daily reward” today. Cannot enter for new DK “missions” though.

This might be the key as there is a difference in just reserving a contest without a lineup vs. actually entering a dummy lineup. If you just click reserve and don’t put in a lineup it doesn’t actually credit you with entering the contest until you submit a lineup (I am going off when they hit you with ads on free contests) so I could see where reserving only and then going to a banned state would be an issue.
