    RG Chief Meteorologist

Forecast for 5/30, updated at 5:20 PM eastern.

Most games look fine, only one with any PPD risk, and even that one (BAL) looks more like a delay threat…

OAK @ CLE – Very isolated sprinkles, likely they stay north of the stadium anyways. GREEN (tiny little hint of ylw that we can ignore).

LAD @ STLNWS still holding a 30% chance of storms here tonight, but models have kept it clear over STL all day, and high-res models still show nice clearing. Radar is matching up with models, so I’m not worried. GREEN / YELLOW

NYY @ BAL – Broken line of storms moving towards BAL. One cell that just popped over the last 5 minutes looks like it could be on target to pass over the stadium, and still more storms will fade / die-out as this broken line progresses. Some of these storms will pack a punch, lightning, some hail, and heavy rain, but it’s likely to just be a storm or two, then clear weather in it’s wake, so more of a delay threat than a PPD worry. I’m ORANGE / YELLOW for a decently likely delay, and low PPD risk.

ARI @ PIT – Models show a quick burst of light rain early, but radar is still dry, so I’m not fully buying it. GREEN / YELLOW

MIL @ NYM – A few spotty showers near NY should stay just south as we start the game, with another weak system approaching from the west later tonight. That second system should be weakening as it arrives, bringing maybe just a few sprinkles late-game or after the game. Overall concern including both systems remains low, delay not likely. YELLOW

SEA @ COL – 10-20% coverage of pop-up storms, most should stay south of the stadium. Low coverage, low concerns. GREEN / YELLOW

BOS @ CWS – Isolated spotty showers dotting the radar around Chicago. They are small cells, with not too impressive coverage, so the chance of one going directly over the stadium is fairly low. If we get unlucky and one does pass over, I expect it would be a fairly short delay, just long enough to drag on/off the tarp, re-warm up, etc, rain wouldn’t likely last more than 15 minutes or so. Anyways, a delay here is possible, but not too likely. I’m YELLOW

HOU @ MIN – A few spotty showers early, likely clear by first pitch. GREEN (tiny hint of ylw).

DET @ KC – Storms already southeast of KC, clearing farther SE. Good to go. GREEN

WASH @ SF – Rain possible after the game. GREEN . Winds west at 20-25mph, blowing out.

    Thanks Roth!

Be prepared for a TON of questions regarding Bos/Cws game later. Everyone and their mother is going to be on the Bos SP tonight. You’ve been warned!
