Following the pattern we set yesterday with a pretty easy late game slate…
STL @ PIT – Likely looking at temps during game-time in the mid 30s. Keep in mind that cold air means dense air, and dense air means a ball doesn’t fly quite as far. It’s not the end of the world, a well struck ball is still going to get out of the park, but all things being equal, this is not ideal hitting weather.
SEA @ TEX- Winds out of the south at 15-20mph, gusts closer to 25, that’s blowing in from right field. A couple of years ago a southerly wind actually swirled around the stadium and helped carry balls out, but I don’t believe that is the case these days after park renovations which removed the “reverse jet stream” effect. Play it as a slight bump down to lefty power hitters.
Everything out west looks good, but that won’t be the case all week.
PS – Keep a lookout for a PGA Master’s weather forecast tomorrow morning!
