Forecast for 6/6, updated at 6:45 pm

One or two risk/reward plays out there, but it looks like in general the reward outweighs the risk…

BOS @ NYY – One cluster of very slow moving showers trying to build towards NY, likely stays west, but some light rain not impossible. YELLOW / GREEN . Winds NE at 10mph, blowing in from left.

PIT @ BAL – Most of the rain stays north, similar to NY where I can’t fully rule out a few showers, but I doubt it. YELLOW / GREEN

LAA @ DET – Winds north at 10-15mph, blowing out to right-center.

PHI @ ATL – Showers over ATL now, those are fading away. The heavier rain for now is well to the south, and the bulk of it will likely stay south. Some rain upstream may try to impact play a bit later in the game, but the overall intensity / coverage over the city should stay fairly low. YELLOW

MIA @ CHC – Winds north at 10-15mph, blowing in from left-center.

CLE @ COL – Upping risk to ORNG/YLW based on latest high-res models. Still think it’s a “lower risk play”, and with the reward in Coors, can’t recommend a fade. Scattered storms, cruising from west to east tonight. NWS has a 50% rain chance, I would go a bit higher. Late start? Early delay? Either way, likely to play (I didn’t mean to make that a poem, but I’ll take it). ORANGE / YELLOW here, decent shot of a delay, low PPD chance. Relatively low risk, high reward.

It faded away quicker than anticipated. Models had it lingering for hours, it had other plans. I’ve already gotten death threats over it, and that’s with me listing it at ORNG and saying I DID think it would play, god help me when a fully RED game plays through.

Damn people take DFS too seriously! I had my fair share of PHI/ATL because I believed in you and it helped me win some cash. Thank you for all you do here at RG!

people need to leave kevin alone he’s just trying to the end its YOUR decision to play certain players stop blaming other people

you’re as reliable as the Detroit Lions are at disappointing.

It’s insane how people try to blame the weatherman for their crap Dfs play. I’m positive Kevin has saved all of us way more money then if his services which are free to the public weren’t available on a daily basis. I actually know a decent amount about the weather and still I don’t even want to think of the amount of time I’d have to put in each day if it weren’t for Kevin’s weather updates. For him to have to deal with death threats from a bunch of Internet tough guys is an absolute joke. No matter how damn good you are at weather forecasting it will always throw you multiple curveballs over the course of a 162 game MLB season.

This is the definition of insanity, holy crap. Just take comfort in the fact that the people sending you those threats are fat 14 year olds with fake accounts sitting in their parent’s basements…

Kevin Roth you are the man, i followed your forecasts yesterday and i knew it looked good enough to play, i honestly thought at 7 pm yesterday that there was going to be a delay from the rain that was at that time on the Alabama/Georgia border(that system broke up real quick lol), and considering the phillies have 8 more games to play in Atl this year i thought if there was any kind of extended delay they would almost surely ppd. But that was my thinking in it, the sad thing is my thinking lost me money. But thats the thing, I thought for MYSELF, you even said you were pretty sure the game would play all the way through. technically i went against your advice. That storm system broke up real quick, i am sure a lot quicker than anyone that it would, but that is why you live to play the next day. Sorry i pretty much rambled about nothing, just wanted to thank you for your work man, weather is one of the toughest things to predict, and you do a pretty damn good job at it.
