Let me hit you with a little stat right of the bat! According to “The Biz of Baseball” (I have no idea who the hell that is), data collected over a decade shows April account for 37% of all rain-outs for the year. 37% in just one month!!!

That stat is not at all relevant for today, because the weather is fine :)

SD @ COL – Sprinkle at the worst. GREEN.

NYY @ DET – Spotty showers here, but they are fast moving, and very light. If these little showers do pass over the stadium, I imagine they would just play right through it with no real impact. GREEN.

    Bonus fun!

CLE @ CWS – West wind 15-20 mph sustained. That will be blowing out to left during game time.

LAD @ SF – SW wind, again 15-20 mph, again that will blow out to left all game long.

Those winds, while helpful, aren’t nearly as strong as what we saw this afternoon, which is a very normal weather pattern: winds peak in the afternoon, weakening as the sun sets (this entire theory gets thrown out the window if a cold front is passing through in the evening).

As always, hope it helps, check me out on Twitter, where I try my best to inform and entertain, @KevinRothWx
Please remember that it’s just a forecast, and that things can change.

    Happy Grinding! – Kevin

PS – If you understood the lame rap reference in the title, I applaud you.

Ah crap, I hate when I miss one: That game is fine, spotty light showers, but I don’t think it’s enough to delay a game. Play right through it kind of sprinkles.
