Justin Rose has won the last two iterations of this event, but it was not played at the current course. He’s going for an unprecedented threepeat.

  • lfn1992

Happy Meal has already filled! I opened a resizable mini-meal and will continue to if they fill.

What does LW mean and -#w stand for in recent form of the spreadsheet?

  • hautalak

LW is last week. Then the others are like 2 weeks ago, 3 weeks, and so on.

  • Mrobbins36

Thank you. I am trying to learn how to read all the statics I can. I do all the research I can. Could you briefly explain how to read course form? As far as the LW George Coetzee was #1. That means he is the best last week? The #1 is highlighted yellow so I’m not exactly sure if I’m misunderstanding that.

  • hautalak

This is a EURO field so research is a bit tougher for sure. The spreadsheet is a great start though and helps wade through a lot.

The number is just what position they finished at the last tournament. Where things get a bit more difficult is when guys from multiple tours are playing. For example you’ll see Erik Van Rooyen with a 38th but he was playing in a different tournament (WGC) than George Coetzee who was playing a EURO event. I guess bottomline is check which tournament they were playing as sometimes a first place finish doesn’t mean much when it’s from a lower tour. Hopefully that makes sense. Good luck!

Even better, Coetzee was playing a South Africa Tour/Sunshine Tour event where he was head and shoulders the highest-rated OWGR golfer in the field.

I guess I need to listen to my advice then (look at the tourney he played lol)

I just didn’t think he would dip that low with actual events going on!

Me neither. But he is tremendous in general in SA events.

  • lfn1992

This event is sort-of the EURO equivalent to the Northern Trust, a weeder event on the Race to Dubai (followed by the Nedbank Challenge in SA and the World Championship in Dubai). Much of the motivations here regard getting in the OWGR Top 50, EURO guys needing to get into the Top 60 to get into the Nedbank, improving overall OWGR to get on the President’s Cup, etc.

  • lfn1992

Another interesting dynamic might be the “Rookie of the Year” race between McIntyre, Kitayama, Arnaus and Miglozzi. The bottom two, Arnaus and Miglozzi, are worth a look in my mind because they are outside the Top 30 cutoff to play in the championship. They’ll want to earn enough points to get inside the line.

LMAO, your here every week and play a LU every week. I assume you look at the final standings of the golf tournament. You couldn’t remember anything about G Coetzee from last week? I didnt either but at least it registered that he didnt play in China or Bermuda.

Just finished my first ever MME 20 max in this game to practice if we get into a MME contest series in the league

Did it all by hand with 29 players overall not wanting to use any outside influence with optimizers or LU generators

Interested to see how this goes and only a five dollar lesson lol
