We’re excited to announce our first ever NASCAR Promo! We’ve been working with Ty Dillon a lot lately, and we’ve come up with a really cool idea. Team RotoGrinders will be in Charlotte for the Coco-Cola 600, and we’ve set up an exclusive video interview with Ty Dillon.

This is where the promo comes in; we’re going to open it up to the Grinders Forum to ask Ty the questions.

Ty really enjoys DFS and wants to be involved with the community. That’s why he wants to answer 10 questions from you, the members who make up the heart of the DFS community here at RotoGrinders.

    Here’s how it will work:

We are going to select 10 questions submitted in this thread, and we will be factoring in the “thumbs up” button. Anything goes! We want fun, funny, NASCAR-related, DFS-related, “Busch Bros vs. Dillon Bros, 2-on-2 basketball, who wins?” – whatever you want Ty Dillon to answer

We’ll be shooting the video with Ty on the weekend of the big race and will post it here on RG. We’ll be giving out a RotoGrinders t-shirt to each of the people whose questions we select to be asked during the video interview as well. On top of the RotoGrinders t-shirt, we will throw all ten usernames in a hat, and select one for a signed Ty Dillon hat.

    The rules:

    1. Post your question in this thread

    2. Questions must be submitted by Wednesday at 9 PM EST

    3. Questions must follow our Forum Posting Rules

    Enjoy the races!
    Stevie and Team RG

If you could select any nascar driver from history to be your “drafting partner” on the final lap at the Daytona 500, who would it be and how would you pass him?

You are heading out to a nice family dinner with your Mom, Dad and Brother. Who drives the car to the restaurant and on the way home? Followup question: Assuming Mom was not the driver, is everyone still on speaking terms when you arrive back home?

NASCAR has banned the Confederate flag and protested against using a Trump facility because of his racist remarks, but: drivers are coming out and endorsing Trump; people of color are still very uncomfortable attending events; and the sport’s recent activism against racism is at conflict with so much of their clientele’s leanings. How should NASCAR act, short term, on the sport’s problem with race?

Practice speeds are valuable to nascar DFS players. Are drivers always trying their best in practice? How well, in your opinion, do practice speeds influence finishing results?

As best you can, describe the roll that variance (or random chance) plays in the ultimate outcome of any given race. I’m less asking about how much random chance affects the winner of a race and more interested in it’s affect on the field as a whole.

For instance, a driver likes one particular track a little bit more than some other tracks on the circuit and wants to take advantage of the fact that (at least, in the past) their driving style tends to lend itself to success at this particular track. The driver would of course love to win or at least improve on their qualifying/starting position as best they can. Especially at this particular track- because they feel they have an even better opportunity to realize that goal at a track where they are comfortable and have seen previous success. How much of whether or not they are ultimately able to realize that goal (improving on starting position) is due to the skill of one driver over the other drivers and how much is due to random chance or “luck?” 50/50?

Also, and finally: Would you say that certain tracks are more reliant on variance or “luck” than other tracks? (Such as tracks where a lot of crashes are known to occur?)

    Thanks so much

I’ve listened to both of the Morning Grind podcasts you’ve been on with @stevietpfl and know you know your stuff when it come to DFS MLB. Do you think if you had as many pitches as Gerritt Cole had against the Rockies, could you strike out more batters than he did last night? Also, do you think Stevietpfl could strike out more batters than Cole did?

Ty, you finished 6th at Talladega after taking over for Tony. As a whole, I thought it was the most exciting race I’ve seen at Talladega in years. I have to know with all the wrecks and close racing is it as exciting for the drivers as it is for the fans?
