I think both of these matches should be good ones, but from a DFS perspective, I could see them going in any direction. Ronaldo will clearly be the highest owned player. I may just fade him more than I play him and see if he pays me back for his lucky, bad officiating aided hat trick the last time I faded him.

Monaco continues to get no respect as they are underdogs at home today.

I think Monaco is where the money will be made this go-round. Real-Atletico should be typical low scoring, although I think Ronaldo can get to 20-25 on peripherals given the beat up state of Atletico’s defense. That might just be enough to justify rostering him.

It will be interesting to see how Monaco approach this game tactically. They’ve been the away squad in the first leg the last two rounds, so I wonder if they’ll put a little more emphasis on preventing Juve from getting the away goal here at the expense of going all out in attack. I tend to think that they believe they can score on anyone, anywhere, so perhaps they’ll even feel OK with a draw. I’m betting they’ll get the upper hand here with at least 2 goals scored, so I’ll cast my fate with Mbappe and Lemar at a minimum.

BTW, Stewburtx8, congrats on the big NBA hit last week.

Tend to agree on Monaco and think they can get a result here. I would hope that they do not change their style. I would think they would just stick with what has worked which is attack, attack, attack. Juventus is tough defensively and has a strong counterattack. But if Monaco starts messing with their tactics based on being in the semifinals now, I think that would be a mistake.

    Thanks!

I’m rooting for you but am afraid that Oblak over Navas might end up costing you.

    Saahil….. yikes.

Ha…..you might be right, but Marcello with only 6 points gives me a chance. Even if I come in second, I almost triple my money. Not sure what Saahil was thinking…..I wonder if he regretted not starting Ronaldo after his 1st, 2nd, or 3rd goal? :)

Hey guys I would like some advice if possible! I had Ramos, Marcelo, Ronaldo, Casemiro going yesterday so sitting at 67 pts! Today I have Buffon, Pjanic, falcao and Lemar.. Would you guys recommend swapping any of the guys for today with someone else??

Anyone else see a change in their standings this morning? I was winning $215 across 4 of my lineups in the $4 GPP on DK since the game ended yesterday all the way through until about 10am this morning and now it says I’m winning $165. Was there a late scoring change they didn’t update until today?

Some small movements/updates it looks like. I know Gabi got another point in my one lineup. Wasn’t paying that close of attention to the non-CR7 lineups but might of been some other small movements.

I do not think there is too much else you can do. You have a fairly strong start so I would be looking for high floor players (unless you see a bunch of lineups ahead of you with more minutes remaining). Lemar and Pjanic are two of the higher floor players going today. Falcao is mostly goal dependant but he’s the cheapest option among Higuian, Dybala or Mbappe that have 2 goal upside. Only other interesting option really is to switch Pjanic/Falcao with say Mbappe/Sandro. I’m not suggesting to do that, just throwing it out there.

You likely need Buffon to match Navas and hope that none of Dybala, Mbappe, or Higuian go crazy with goals/assists, and none of the outside backs (Alves, Mendy, Sandro) but up a big game.

I wish there was some where to look up scoring changes like for instance on OPTA’s website.

I know for ESPN fantasy football, they have a section that tells you scoring changes.

Awesome response thank you for taking your time to break it down in detail for me I really appreciate it!!!!

The most concern for me is in Falcao of course but if the game ends in a 0-0 draw I guess it would be ok and I would have to hope for my midfielders and GiGi to get me to the top!! However, I dont see this one going scoreless Monaco is pretty agressive offensively and of course that leaves opportunity for Juve to counter!

Most of the guys in front of me have 90-180PMR but there is also a good amount of guys with 270PMR only a few with 360 remaining like me!

    Thanks again!!

Marcello went from 5 to six points (on DK)…..I think they added a Foul Drawn to his line.

uefa.com has Juventus’ formation wrong if anyone is looking at that. This is the personel they line up with they run a 3-4-3 or 5-2-3, however you want to look at it.

  • eli87

Does anyone think it would be wise to swap out Falcao and Pjanic for Dirar and Higuain??

Or swap Falcao and Pjanic for Mbappe and Dirar?

I think the formation is correct. I’ve seen them setup in 4-2-3-1 quite a bit recently. They switched to using this formation early in 2017 with Dybala sitting off Higuain.

Naw. They have barzagli at RB. He’s never played that in his life. Could be deceiving if you play DK and you’re looking for crosses. I’m seeing 3 center backs and two wing backs.

It does not really surprise me on the road against the attacking style of Monaco. But you are right in that I would not expect crosses from Barzagli.

    Paolo Menicucci, Juventus reporter
The rumours were correct: Barzagli starts at right-back, with Dani Alves playing behind Higuaín alongside Dybala and Mandžukić in the usual 4-2-3-1 system. Is he worried about Monaco’s attack? Maybe. I’m pretty sure that at times the Bianconeri will play with a 3-4-3, namely the ‘BBC’ at the back and Dani Alves and Alex Sandro in midfield.

Ok, I swapped Pjanic and Falcao for Mbappe and Fabinho hope I didnt just screw my self lol!

I see what you’re saying. I don’t usually put a lot of stock in formations. But this is interesting to me because if the Juve wings push up that could leave them vunerable against the Monaco wingers. I didn’t have a lot of exposure to Silva, but he’s pretty cheap on both sites.

  • KindGuy

I learned my lesson the hard way several times this year. DON’T TRUST WHOSCORED. They constantly get the formations wrong.

Uefa is almost always right. 4-2-3-1 is what is listed there, while whoscored has a 3-4-1-2.

Either way, Alves is a LOCK.

  • Krnich

Alves or sandro? I’m torn between the two.

    Alves 100% not even close.
