    8 game slate, including:
    • NK Maribor at Sevilla
    • Liverpool at Spartak Moscow
    • Shaktar Donetsk at Manchester City
    • Feyenoord at Napoli
    • FC Porto at AS Monaco
    • RP Leipzig at Besitkas
    • Tottenham at APOEL Nicosia
    • Real Madrid at BVB Dortmund

  • KindGuy

Insigne and Falcao lock and load?

  • KindGuy

Damn, also have to think about Aguero too…… decisions decisions.

Definitely an interesting slate with a lot of teams heavily favored and not one that really stands out above the rest:

Sevila -700 with 3.5 goals expected in that game
Napoli -700 with 3 goals expected in that game
Man City -500 with 3.5 goals expected in that game
Tottie -350 with 3 goals expected in that game

Those are probably going to be the 4 most popular spots. Liverpool as -150 favorites should end up contrarian in a tough spot playing in Russia. Coutinho, Mane, Salah, Firmino all GPP plays. This may be the lowest owned we ever see Ronaldo (which makes him a good GPP play as he always is anyways).

I don’t really see any reason to use Falcao in one of the tighter matches of the day. I guess any center forward on a favorite is a GPP play though, especially with how hot he has been.

After Messi scored a brace against Juventus, that’s been my line of thinking.

I understand the overall point but Messi is probably always going to be an extreme outlier, especially now with Neymar gone.

I don’t like Liverpool or Spurs, pool because Russia and Spurs as they will struggle to replace Eriksen’s creativity. He is ill and won’t travel.

this Dortmund/Madrid game is going to be lit af fam, and could easily be 2-1 before 20min in.
I really like Besitkas and Leipzig for lots of value.
Sevilla and Napoli could both score 3+ at no ownership.
Fading England outside of Coutinho, KDB, and Kane. Loading up on Napoli I think.

  • KindGuy

Get in as much action as you can today.

Rake is about to go up

  • whateverworks_187

Napoli to me seems to be in the best spot. Mertens and Ghoulam in particular. With slates like this where so many big favorites in high scoring games, the toughest question is who is worth spending up for? The top players are in less favorable matchups. Aguero/Kane both make a lot of sense.

GPP’s stacking the RM vs. Dortmund could be interesting, but at the same time the ownership for players (with more recognizable names) will likely give them elevated ownership to begin with.

  • milanman21

I’ve been ice cold of late so take this for what it’s worth:

In GPPs best thing to do is target the guys you think will pop for multiple goals today (there will be a lot of goals on this slate). Mertens, Falcao, Aguero, and Kane are all candidates.

Goalkeeper, no shame in spending down and getting the save volume as a result. Hard to predict who on this slate will actually capture the win AND clean sheet.

Defender, should be room to spend up, lot of value in midfield today.

That’s how I’ll be rolling, won’t really have an exclusive stack just going to dip into multiple favorites.

  • warren99

Pretty friendly pricing tonight, not finding it at all hard to put together decent lineups ( decent until it kicks off anyway ).

Tottenham have a load of absentees, they may lack a bit of creativity to provide chances for Kane, first thought was to completely fade them but there may be some value without Eriksen taking all the set pieces.

Marcelo out for Real I believe so there will be a cheap wing back going for Real.

Dortmund look cheap all round, big game stack is definitely playable here and doesn’t need scrubs to complete the lineup.

The 3 dollar entry big tourney only about half full at moment on DK, may be some overlay

$50k Longball likely to overlay. Wish they ran more satellites for that. $400 is a little steep for one entry. I’ll probably only consider jumping in if the overlay is too much to pass up.

    I definitely agree.

Might go with literally no stack and just have 8 one offs haha. So much to like.

Trying to talk myself into CR7 in my Longball entry, but Madrid are so out of form right now. Dortmund can give up some goals, he’ll play the full 90, he’s going to be less owned than Kane, Kun, Mertens. It should be a no brainer, but not sure I can do it.

I’m fading Sevilla only cause I don’t know who to play for them and of all favorites they are team that it would be most unusual to put up 5 goals. They typically take foot off gas once up a couple. Ronaldo, however, is always hungry for another goal.

  • KindGuy

Joaquin Correa is one of my favorite players so I may be biased but damn I can’t get away from him. So skilled at such a young age as a big favorite playing up top and only $6,600. Why the hell did DK make him a Midfielder only? Smh.

Sure, he doesn’t get set piece action or penalties but man he’s sooooo good.

I did 6 preliminary lineups entered into the Clean Sheet and Striker and right now have 0 Ronaldo. BUT, I tend to always fade Ronaldo. That being said, I do that because he’s highly owned and I do not like him. But if he’s going to be low owned, maybe I’ll like him a little more. I agree, his ceiling is still 2-3 goals and his floor is still usually around 10 just on shots and fouls drawn.

I’m just waiting to see how contests shake out and what overlay looks like and then decide what direction I want to go. If I do play the Longball (due to overlay), I highly doubt I have Ronaldo in one entry. But I’ll probably grab some exposure to him elsewhere.

why dont you like Ronaldo? youve mentioned that a few times.

First, he is obviously a tremendous player and one of the greatest players ever. From what I’ve read and heard, he also does a lot of charity work. That is all great.

Mainly, I do not like his attitude and his arrogance. He whines a lot yet gets the benefit of the doubt on penalties and offsides all the time (see Bayern Munich game in UCL last year). It also very much seems like he is not a good teammate (obviously my opinion from what I’ve read). Look at some of his comments when Real Madrid signed Gareth Bale (Ronaldo was no longer the most expensive transfer). He’s made comments about barely speaking to his teammates at Manchester United yet they won UCL anyways (seemingly because of him). He’s made comments at Real Madrid after a loss something to the effect of if everyone was at his level, perhaps the team would be in first place. Seems like he cares more about himself and his overall legacy than the team.

His comments about Iceland rubbed me the wrong way. Complaining about their tactics and them celebrating the 1-1 draw when he’s the first to go crazy and celebrate any time he scores.

Also he is very good and Real Madrid is very good. Him and Real are easy to hate. I hated Kobe Bryant and the Lakers for much of the same reasons listed above (presumably bad teammate, really good). Later in his career I grew a little more respect for Kobe though. Maybe that will happen with Ronaldo.

    my article for this week.

I don’t know how to not play Bale at that price instead of Ronaldo. Really though. Same with Nacho, you don’t even need a CS bonus. Napoli and Sevilla are big GPP favs of mine right now, and hoping a lot of people jump on Liverpool and get lost when they struggle to score 2 goals, and others are ar 3 or 4 by halftime.

There are going to be so many goals this week. There really should be anyway.

No Ganso is disappointing. I got the strong impression from the local beat writer yesterday that he was getting a start.

And still no Promes, which isn’t surprising enough to be a disappointment but he makes that team watchable.

  • badgerdores

So frustrating having to take Pulisic out of so many LU. Dortmund and midfield in general providing so much value. Favorite stud plays are Kun and Mertens with some Jesus and CR7 in there. For D you pay up for Ghoulam or Aurier (bit riskier) or punt.
