Rumble didn’t do all that bad against Cormier in the first matchup and actually rocked him twice so I think he finishes the deal here after sharpening up his wrestling. Loving Magomed Bibulatov vs. such a middling talent in Lausa. Patrick Cummins is gonna be a lock in load in this spot for me… Not many people can stop his wrestling. Haven’t seen Pearl Gonzalez throw down but I’m super excited about the prospects of having Cynthia Calvillo on my teams again… I don’t think Usman loses to strickland although it’s possible.. I just don’t think so though..

There is a big line movement away from Usman and everything you said I agree with so I will probably fade him. He has been a decision machine in his last 3 fights, although he is averaging 90 points in those decisions. Unless he gets 10 TD he’s just not worth that price, like Ronny said.

Bibulatov is making his debut and also has a huge line movement the other way and for 9500 and being at 125lbs, it just doesn’t seem worth it at that price. I admit I know nothing about him other than the odds.

Cummins and Blachowicz are both ranked #12 apparently, but there has been a KO in Cummins last 4 fights and he was responsible for 1, so you probably need to play this in GPP.

Of all the 9000+, it seems like Calvillo is the safest play. You guys know more about this than I do.

Just looking at odds and Bibulatov has a -22% line movement, does anyone know why?

The line opened way too tight, bibulatov should be a huge favorite

What are people’s thoughts on moussasi/weidman. Moussasi has the hype around him. My take on him is that he’s an 8 in every category, in my opinion he’s like a poirier, Swanson a top 5 gatekeeper. He fights a guy with a hole in one aspect he will exploit it and win, he’s good everywhere. But put him up against someone like a Whittaker who will out strike him and won’t allow takedowns he gets knocked out, I take gastelum over him and rockhold is a matchup nightmare. But I like him over jacare and bisping because he can exploit their weaknessses.

This fight is weird, weidman is a wild striker with bad defense, but attacks and controls the cage well. His mma wrestling needs to improve but if he gets you down you’re in trouble. I can see moussasi taking him down after a missed kick and grinding a round or Countering him and outstrking him in a round. But I can see moussasi being inactive trying to avoid takedowns and not wanting to brawl and giving away a round because weidman is more aggressive.

For Dk I don’t see a finish and a lot of takedowns so I will pass on this fight. Weidman is the play only for value

  • NewMike

I just read that wrong, I didn’t look at the graph. I thought -25% meant the line was moving towards him not being a huge favourite.

  • jolokia

Not as much Emmett love on this thread like there was last time! Hows the matchup? Ill be watching some video on the new-comer soon, he’s only a +190 dog so he must have some skills.

Still 13 fights on thr card….shocked!

I’m pretty sure we’re past the point where they drop out due to injury, so Cormier is probably going to be good to go. We’ll see what 2 years has done to him

Is Brooks really worth the price? He’s had 1 finish in his last 9 fights

Brooks is a grinder, going to get you up against the cage take you down and hold you. His cardio is great and is a well rounded fighter. Taking brooks is more about oliveira having bad striking defense, gas tank and commitment. I can see brooks finishing him in round 3 in dominant fashion. At 9k he’s expensive and I probably won’t play him. but I kind of like in GPP.

Why would you take Mousasi over Jacare when Jacare has already thoroughly outclassed him?

That was jacare 3 years ago. In my opinion jacare has gotten slower and I would favour moussasi.

Whittaker will knock out jacare next week

It is going to be one hell of a weekend. Then, the UFC is off to Kansas City.
