Super impressed with both these guys….

Holloway reminds me of a blend of nate diaz with his freestyle and use of angles, frankie edgar with his survival skills and circling, and bj penn with his takedown defense

  • Kamais_Ookin

Man that takedown defense is too strong.

  • iron_tactics

Daaaaaaaaaaaamn coulda had that leg lock

  • iron_tactics

Good call to end that though, dude has a ton of heart but he isn’t winning in round 5 might as well call it

  • Kamais_Ookin

Man I want to see a rematch!

  • mtdurham

    This is amazing!

He might the best conditioned and technical boxer i’ve ever seen

i’d rather take a one shot KO from chuck lidell than try to last 60 seconds with that guy… incredible set of skills

Ortega has some serious chops and power i can tell… the combos, the level changes, the takedown defense, etc would have been incredible vs. a low level fighter…. to do that in a championship bout that guy is incredible to watch

  • gje627

    Damn….

Two-way T-1 in two of the big GPPs….

An Ortega win would have made for two solo wins…..

  • mtdurham

236 significant strikes LANDED in a four round fight?

That may have been the most impressive performance I’ve ever seen…

Like if i was playing the UFC video game and someone landed some of those combos against me I would have thought the game was crap and never played again

  • GoldenWolf87

    Congrats gje!

BLESSED ©!!! – in all seriousness though, Ortega is one HELL of a fighter. Only difference is, Ortega “CAN” be great and Max “IS” great. That is the only difference here. A lot of people – not here – but a lot of ppl are going to shit on Ortega but he put on a damn fight – he was game AF. As someone who had Max, I was never comfortable – I was always worried. Brian deserves a lot of credit here cos Max is FIRE. Although yeah – he might not have the best public speaking skills lol – in the cage he is FIRE.

Congrats to all that cashed!!! I think I did too – haven’t even checked yet – WHAT A FIGHT!!!

  • gje627

Well, with a lot of other good lineups….

Over $21,000 on $1,650 in entry fees.

    Hope everyone else won too.

    Good night guys !!!

  • GoldenWolf87

lol i won just 30 bucks out of my 24 line ups oh well.

I think I’m relatively safe on both sides of Ortega/Holloway for at least a little money tonight….

Thank God, JJ put up a good fight tonight.

I’m glad your Holloway lineup won

Holy shit! Killing it gje, as always! I think I won $60 lol I’ll take it! By far the best MMA finish I’ve ever had!

  • someclevername

Ahhh, Lima over Lopez and I’m there lol that’s ok though – no regrets, I wasn’t taking Lima in my single bullet lol CONGRATS TO YOU GUYS!

    THANKS !!!

    Guess I got lucky…. two straight weeks…..

I was happy with my top lineup, but I also had a lot of other lineups near the top too….

It’s nice to go into the final fight with only a small sweat, knowing a tie for 1st is the worst you can do…..

Still wish Ortega would have won, or 13nutz would have decided not to play tonight…. :)

In either of those cases, I would be flying solo…..

    But all-in-all a good night.

You’ve been on the wrong side of exposure two weeks in a row and still shipped it. As the ole sayin goes, all it takes is one. Amazing!

For those thinking all it takes to win is to MME, not so fast. I did 56 tonight and my mind was blown. Kudos to gje although I wonder about other things.

Holloway with 290 SS has to be a record. Lol

Do you really want to know?

I do some pretty intense mathematics for all the sports I play.

    I have to.

As, I’m too stupid on my own….Seriously.

Well, doesn’t that really mean I was on the right side of exposure these last two weeks…. :)

    Thanks again. :)
