Hardy is still an idiot – he looked high when they were announcing the fighters.

thats how he always looks… he’s really not that bad of a guy… just has some severe mental health issues…

When he was with the Panthers on a 5th round pick salary he took like 75 underprivileged kids to the local amusement park and they cut his debit card off because he spent so much money on those kids that they thought the card was stolen…

    lmaooooooo screw this card

  • BIF

Wow Cejudo – color me stunned 😳

  • mtdurham

that was dumb . dillashaw slipped and he clipped him on the way back up and won

  • yisman

    very impressive by Cejudo

still tilted over the Hardy fight

Crowder repeatedly taunting Hardy and to be honest, he wasn’t going to win that fight unless he tricked Hardy into doing something stupid. Crowder didn’t win and didn’t deserve to win. A DQ where the guy can continue and decides not to should be a no decision.

    And to think that I was p*ssed that I didn’t play tonight….

Based on the results, I guess karma was on my side, as there is no way I would have come close to winning given the wacky fights tonight….

    On a side-note…..

    Like most everyone else here….

    I’m ecstatic that Hardy lost…..

Two points regarding that fight and Hardy altogether.

First, for those who argue that the referee erred in stating “within listening distance of Crowder” that Hardy would be DQ’d if Crowder couldn’t continue….

    I absolutely disagree.

The referee could have and should have simply DQ’d Hardy outright; regardless of whether or not Crowder was “fit” to continue as an illegal knee to the temple of a defenseless fighter on the ground is absolutely and without question the most dangerous (and again illegal) kick/strike/move in MMA….

Second, regarding Hardy being a “good-guy” and the point that his badness should be excused as a “mental health issue”…..

    What a pathetic excuse !!!!

In my book anyways, any guy that beats the shi*t out of women (and/or children) doesn’t deserve the time of day AND if said MOFO has a problem, he should voluntary seek help before his impulses get the best of him or, in Hardy’s case, do what society should have done long ago; that being lock his a** up and keep him far, far away from people he wants to hurt.

Needless to say, in my humble opinion…..

The UFC should be ashamed of itself for allowing Hardy in the Octagon to begin with…..

I’ve always despised Dana White, but now I have zero respect for him as well.

WTF was he thinking, especially by keeping him on the same card as Rachael Ostovich…..

    Absolute disgrace….

i mean… i totally get what you’re saying… but it’s also absurd to expect him to continue after he’s basically sustained a concussion / knockout blow….

There was probably about $50,000 winner bonus…. he should take that money everytime… after taxes thats like $25,000 and he owes close to half of that to his training camp..

Until these guys start getting paid for fighting they should take any windfall they find

If he was concussed that would be one thing but I don’t think he was.

I think he heard what the ref said and told them “nah, I’m good” because he didn’t want to risk losing the win that the ref was giving him for no reason.

That kind of thing should be no contest unless the guy who received the illegal hit was clearly ahead or something.

I don’t know what you mean about getting paid. They do get paid. Win bonus, fight of night, etc. are bonuses on top of what they’re already earning for taking the fight.
