    Prices are out.

I think Borg is way overpriced and he has too many personal issues going on. I think we can’t fade Vick vs Hooker and can fade Modeffari vs. Maia and Caceres vs. Peterson.

I’ve heard Adams gets pretty fat between fights which makes me think Hardy has this one, but they’re both huge and it probably won’t see the second minute.

Read this as CAN fade… I was like

Kneejerk reactions: – RDA being disrespected here but probably staying away from fight. – Is Hooker ok after that Barboza body beatdown? – Am I seriously looking at Arlovski as dog pick? Ugh yep. – Am I seriously looking at Bruce Leeroy while overpriced? YEP, yolo. – Rocky not a bad dog pick here, but not expecting a finish. Matchup hell for Aldana. – Need to find out more about Silva – Abreu/Alvey has great banger poten…

Also no weigh-in or staredown watch for me. Can only watch Aleksei massage assault his opponents to get hand/neck/shoulder/chest measurements so many times before it taints the whole process. Hard weight cuts are bad enough to watch but a line has to drawn somewhere. Get that fool a measuring tape ufc!

I am looking forward to seeing Son again – his fight w/Petr Yan was pretty entertaining.

*Prob gonna break my single bullet rule too this week just due to Adams’ & Hardy’s pricing – oh boy I’ll have TWO whole lineups! Out of control!

I’m worried that all of the chalk on this card is going to hit and 1st place could be divided up amongst a lot of people.

Thinking the main event, Harris/Oleinik, Adams/Hardy, and Vick/Hooker are all going to be very highly targeted… right?

Nah, there will be some foolishness – rarely is there no foolishness. It will be someone at low ownership, they will put up 100+ and I will have not even considered playing them.

I would be ok with tying for 1st though lol.

Big Ben at $9k is sorta crazy but Arlovski is due to get finished soon. He’s lost 4 straight decisions and his chin has held up for a bit longer than expected. It’s HW – I don’t make the rules. Plus Ben gotta be salty about losing that decision to Ivanov. I like to make up my own narratives.

Hernandez – he got…how do I say this nicely…well, he got the everloving shit kicked out of him by Old Man Cerrone. Old Man Trinaldo could do something similar, but if he doesn’t finish him early he’ll gas out for sure. Still thinking on this one but it would just be funny, imo, if Alex got his ass kicked by two “old” dudes in a row.

  • thevogaman

I think Trinaldo could be the most live of the sub-$7500 guys on the slate; I’ll have exposure to both, though not too much exposure. I think Hernandez should have the gas and the pace to win a decision with a lot of wrestling, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Trinaldo easily defends the takedown and pieces him up worse than Cerrone did.

Jinsoo Son is the real head scratcher for me. I think Son/Bautista could be pretty wild, but I have no clue how it goes.

  • thevogaman

One narrative thing I wasn’t thinking about: Adams, Hernandez, Vick, Peterson, and Pilarte with the homecourt Texan advantage.

Maybe we see a few of the hometown fighters on the winning lineup again?

Is anyone else unable to register for the DK contests on the website? It did this last time as well, I can enter on the app but not the website.

Making 20 $15’s for this event. See you at the top boys

Just read that Arlovski KO’d Ben in 2008 lol I must have missed that one. Revenge! Or it’s another low scoring HW fight that is terrible.

    Another low scoring HW fight.

Yeah, I tend to agree, but man the ITD prop is at least okay… I have to have some Rothwell exposure on this card. Not a lot, but some.

  • someclevername

If I take Ben = low scoring terrible fight. If I don’t = 1st round KO. I’ll let you guys know what I’m doing before lock lol.

    Also Cerrone vs Gaethje oooooohhh

“There was also a rare occurrence on the scale, as both Juan Adams and Greg Hardy tipped the scale at 266 pounds. Their combined weight of 532 pounds represents the maximum allowable weight for a fight in the UFC.” lol

Maia only one to miss weight coming in at 129 – missed by 3 pounds.

The thought of 2 big guys circling and breathing heavy for 2 rounds if there isn’t a 1st round finish is starting to concern me because I’ve got (probably) too much exposure to this fight.

Actually, a lot of my exposure is going be to the last 4 fights… so hoping there aren’t too many upset finishes in the front and middle of the card

That thought has crossed my mind as well lol this could turn out to be a really fugly fight.

RDA vs Edwards – dealer’s choice. I want to take RDA here, he’s been good to me, but I can’t. Idk why exactly. Main events are usually in the winning lineup.

Oleinik vs Harris – pretty straightforward fight. Either Aleksei catches a sub or Big Ticket knocks him out. Choose your own adventure.

Hardy vs Adams – while it could absolutely end up being a stinker…I just don’t think so on this one. I have been losing confidence in Juan the more I look at it. I was on him vs Bhullar, which I still think he won, and he put up a terrible showing after talking mild shit. I think Hardy is going to knock him tfo. I’m not a fan of Greg Hardy, but you can’t deny that he holds a very distinct athleticism & power advantage here. If he can successfully defend the td, Adams is fubar. He just doesn’t bring it on the feet enough to make me worried. If Adams ends up ko’ng Hardy stiff I’ll laugh and congratulate the winners, but I don’t think he’s the one to do it. His best chance is to grind and work for that td, but I think he’s talked so much shit now that he’s gonna want to stand & bang & KO him. I told you – I like making up my own narratives.

Vick vs Hooker – this is a tough one cos no one knows what Hooker will look like / fight like after getting an epic beatdown. Sometimes it changes a fighter for the worse and sometimes it builds their resolve (in their own mind – never good to catch a beatdown). Fact check me but I think Vick will be the longest fighter Dan has faced. Vick would be wise to keep Hooker at distance and tag him while protecting that chin. I don’t have anything against Vick but go rewatch the Gaethje fight lol. This one could be hilarious.

Hernandez vs Trinaldo – speaking of beatdowns…Alex received one alright. Trinaldo is a tough bastard – if Hernandez takes him out I won’t ever bring up the Cerrone fight again.

AA vs Big Ben – I’ve already planted my flag – I think Ben gets the KO. Idk why – as stated further up – very real chance this ends up being a terrible, boring fight with very little DK point value. I almost hope that AA KO’s Ben again cos when I’m wrong, I prefer to be spectacularly wrong.

Caceres vs SUPERMAN TAT – I’ve heard the following words today – “You should never be betting on Bruce Leeroy as a favorite.” It’s a free country, do what you want.

Penningon vs Aldana – Another opportunity to bring up the word, “beatdown”. Nunes beat the will to hit the snooze button out of Rocky and she wasn’t in tip top shape prior to it either. Aldana was in a close fight with Bethe Correia until she wasn’t.

Smilin’ Sam vs Abreu – Alvey got KO’d by the Weekend at Bernie’s version of Lil Nog (which then led me to take him vs Spann in Brazil cos I’m stupid). This is the one fight that if I lose I’ll be salty. I’m in on Klidson even though I refuse to believe that’s a real name.

Roxy vs Maia – Idgaf what anyone says, I like Roxanne Modafferi and I hope she wins this fight, but I shan’t be playing either of these ladies. Possible slate breaker.

Borg vs Silva – I honestly don’t know but I’m going to pick Silva. I’m not going to talk shit about Borg and I hope his kid is getting healthier.

Soo Son vs Bautista – WHO KNOWS AND I CAN’T WAIT!

Pilarte vs Colares – Pilarte is good and from TX, Colares is not good and not from TX.

    GL!

Greg Hardy doesn’t belong in the UFC. With that said, it would be kind of silly not to play it both ways given price and I don’t see that fight going the distance.

I want no part of Vick. He’s a clown and Hooker is legit.

RDA priced too nice to pass up. Maybe it’s a trap, but I’m diving head first into that one.

  • callmetouch

Gonna be a long night of entering lineups. If I don’t cash I’m going to be utterly disappointed. Really putting in the effort on this one. Leaning Edwards>RDA
