    Hey everyone,

It’s the start of a great stretch of fights to end the year, 10 cards in 10 weeks! Huge events coming up, this week’s card is one of the best free cards of the year in my opinion.

I’ll be posting MMA Premium content in the RotoGrinders marketplace for each event, but there will still be the usual dose of free content as well. Myself and h3budda will be breaking down the fights on Thursday on the Daily Fantasy MMA YouTube channel, and we may have a live fight companion podcast on Saturday during the Main Card. You can find all those videos on my twitter account at BrettAppley

Is anybody else going very light on the Maia/Covington matchup? I really don’t know what to pick there

Think you almost need one of them in your lineups, going to try and go 50/50, do 6 lineups have them each in 3, I am also torn on who to pick.

i think covington is going to get run through personally

The tough part about Covington/Maia is A) it’s a close fight and B) not sure how many takedowns there will be. If Covington wins could see him not landing any takedowns and being low scoring. Prob not finishing. Or he could try to wrestle him like normal.

  • CUTiger81

I think Maia will have a tough time taking Covington down but neither of them is elite as a striker in my opinion. In the end I think Covington gets a little overconfident in his wrestling and Maia submits him. Maia is just too elite on the ground and been in too many wars with much better fighters than Covington for me to think Covington can beat him in Brazil.

Watched the podcast and Brett seems to agree for the most part with me on the top 2 fights. I’m thinking I will only play 3 LU’s for this one and might put in 1 Maia and 1 Brunson for GPPs, no idea for cash just yet. It’s going to be a tough night

Does anyone have a coupon when they are in the DK lobby and know what it’s for? I asked support about it and they have no clue

  • NewMike

Anyone think Covington will go for TDs but always get back up quick and just outpoint him? He can only fight one way from what we’ve seen

  • eric42

There’s a chance Covington gets several takedowns, and wins a somewhat boring but high scoring decision. So you have to have him in a lineup.
There’s a chance Covington goes for his first takedown, and then has Maia on his back for three minutes. So you can’t have Covington in all of your lineups.

  • callmetouch

I think we’re focusing too much on Maia/Covington. It really is a hard fight to call. I say avoid that fight in general in hopes for each countering each others strengths. Think Covington gets a dec though.

  • Jordaneck

I’m a big fan of golm

  • callmetouch

Colombo is my underdog pick. Golm has a 95% of winning though.

  • Jordaneck

How do you feel about lineker vera?

I think that Lineker is going to have to do a whole lot to cover that salary…..but it’s hard to fade him 100%

The only fight I’m hedging is Santos vs Hermansson. They’ve both looked great recently and it could be FOTN.

  • callmetouch

    I have too much Colombo

  • callmetouch

Hey you reading this…..you have too much Niko Price.

  • Jordaneck

    Why’s that

  • Frustrated

Ha. Well, you’re definitely not wrong I got 75% exposure to him.

  • callmetouch

Brunson vs Machida is such a tough one to call. Brunson striking can be sloppy and Machida is a great counter striker. Machidas chin is suspect though. It’s a 50/50 toss up imo

  • Neilj907

I’m calling it now Covington will get first takedown, swept and submitted in the first. I think Brunson is going to use the clinch game and use his superior strength to manhandle machida. Like the same gameplay he used against Silvia only better executed

  • callmetouch

4/15 teams have Colombo and im thinking thats too much

  • callmetouch

Went with 2 teams having Colombo and around 8-10 with Golm. GOLMS OPPONENTS COMBINE A RECORD OF 2-10……..2-10!!!! He hasn’t fought real competition and octagon nerves could be real. That’s what I’m worried about

  • Jordaneck

That’s a good point, I shifted to Colombo

  • callmetouch

WAR MAIA, WAR BRUNSON, WAR PRICE, WAR LINEKER, and my favorite pick of the night……Mr. Jack Hermansson. Takedown GNP/SUB.

  • callmetouch

Shift slightly. I had 10/15 colombo’s then 4 now 2. I stacked Golm. It’s just something to keep an eye on
