NFL is the $$ maker, but CFB should easily exceed PGA and Neckar volume on most sites this season. The lack of advertising for CFB is still perplexing.

Any hints or sneak peak on new formats/roll outs, Large Mid-season tournaments, Live end of season Finals in Vegas? (Yeah, I’m bored today)

How soon will FD post contests in the lobby? I need to ensure liquidity and be prepared.

Edit: below is what we know so far….

    Live Finals/Big Tournaments:

    1. DraftKings College Football Championships – Dec 3-6 Miami, FL

    Contests Posted to Lobby:

    None

If that Toledo Stony Brook game is available week one you would be crazy not to play Hunt.

  • Heywood9855

Pricing will be all jacked up regardless of how long they wait to post the contests. It’s the nature of the beast in CFB and the reason guys with knowledge can have an advantage.

    knowledge or massive entries?

They won’t have that game in the contests, but wish they would.

The people who can afford massive entries are for the most part rather good at DFS and therefore have the knowledge.

    I have neither and play at a micro-stakes level though I’m at 10X since I started 2/26/15

Knowledge. I play multiple entries, but by no means ‘massive” entries. I make a very nice profit and its because of information/knowledge, not 1000 entries.

Heywood. What would you suggest as far as breakdown of the percentage of type of games for CFB (i.e. 80% cash, 20% GPP) ? I play exclusively GPP for baseball and have been successful but I want/need to expand my play in order to profit long term. I feel like I will have an edge going into CFB and want to diversify and play cash games. Thanks in advance.

  • 100rings

That sounds about right cAU, 80/20… I typically do 1 or 2 entries in each of the tournies and then try to get about as much head to head action as I can because with CFB there is typically a bigger gap between the good players and the average.

  • Heywood9855

It depends ur risk tolerance tiger. I do very well in GPP and play about 80% and 20% in h2h or 50/50.

  • cAUmberlandtiger8

Good deal. Thanks guys. I have a higher risk tolerance so I may adjust the percentages some. Probably will be trial and error for a few weeks until I can nail down my ROI on the game types

I hear ya! I’m making mine tomorrow.

question for everyone, what site do you guys prefer using for college? I’ve only used fanduel but interested in the other sites.

  • 100rings

FanDuel is still my favorite mostly because of being able to pick up lots of play and I just play their mostly so I am used to it. But I do love CFB on DraftKings because of having 2 starting QBs, there are so many good QBs in CFB I like being able to start 2 guys.

hey now, this isn’t MLB. knowledge/research actually pays off in cfb as opposed to the winner of the gpp the guy that somehow not only faded kershaw but stacked the team that shelled him and managed to get 2 dongs from melvin upton and tyler flowers each.

but seriously another reason why cfb is goat is think about it…week 1 there are THREE legit slates. So if you get off on a bad note you can make up for it pretty quick. For NFL you will have all this time to have Bradford, Jeremy Hill, Eddie Lacy, Gronk, etc only to have Tim Tebow score 3 gimmick TDs to take away from Bradford, Hill go down first play, Lacy get vultured by Kuhn, and then of course Michael Hooomanasuiwieuiie somehow vulture Gronk on 2 gimmick TDs. Then you have to wait a whole week to try again. Oh and in cfb usually the studs get to score their TDs too and not give way to scrub players getting gimmick troll vulture TDs all the freaking time.

Couldn’t agree more! CFB needs to get here sooner. I can’t deal with MLB anymore, it has absolutely drained me

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Arkansas RB Alex Collins value now that Jonathan Williams is out for the regular season? Do they have another back to split carries with? Collins could be in for a big year if he doesn’t have to share carries.

  • adnoble

Super excited that Fantasy Aces announced that. Will definitely be playing on their site this year!

Need to see slates before we can determine value.

Collins will see more work but there’s still some RBBC at Arkansas. Kody Walker has looked excellent this spring/fall and we know he has some power. Bielema has stated a few times that he believes Walker and Collins can both hit 1,000 yards now with Williams out. We also have Rawleigh Williams III now moving up to the third back. He’s looking really good, especially for a freshman. He will likely eat into Collins/Walker a little bit later into the season. Overall, Collins looks solid but his stock didn’t go up a whole lot.

Last year, UTEP was in the bottom fourth for rush defense. Collins could be great week one but it all depends on price.
