Who y’all liking for Weekend PGA today? I’ve only played a couple times, and my plan of just spamming the BoB% leaderboard has proven to be a poor strategy.

My strategy is to ignore the top of the leaderboard, pick guys I though were going to do well going into the tourney who are 4-8 shots back, randomly mix in a few no name assholes (which i wish I had done for my regular tourney rosters), and usually leave a lot of $ on the table. My results using this strategy have been mixed. Agree with you that spamming BoB% hasn’t been optimal

you can pretty much get whatever golfer you want in the weekend only contest.

Feel like picking Branden Stone for the weekend golf for his Rick Astley haircut alone in his DK picture. #nevergonnagiveyouup

I know who I’m cheering for today; on my 7 LU’s with 5/6 I have:
    7 Spieth
    5 Reed, Westwood
    4 Casey
    3 Kaymer
    2 Kuchar, Fitzpatrick, Holmes

For Weekend Golf, just 2 GPP LU’s and some H2H
Both lineups left $700 on the table and have Spieth, Reed and Steele on both

I like Spieth but I think he will be highly owned because he is the only top guy that made the cut

Fowler, Mats, Garcia are top guys too and all are doing better than Spieth

  • MrSnuffleupagus

Speith Fowler combo will be insane

  • fanturds

its time to make some coffee, watch some golf, and crank the boney james

First time ever getting 6/6 through even though 5 out of the 6 are E or worse. Milly maker looking like a nice pay day. Kuchar, Oostiuezuen, Spieth, Stricker, Westwood, and Koepka. Should be a fun weekend!

  • mschu1213

They are going to tear this course up today

  • EandE

Yes, they are. But looking at the top 5 highest priced players, Spieth is the only one who made the cut. I just think eyes will gravitate towards Spieth. How has ownership gone in weekend golf? Do the players at the top of the leaderboard usually garner the highest ownership even though finish position doesn’t matter?

This week they will because a lot of the top players MC. I generally target guys down the leader board because they need birds to catch up and won’t be as conservative at guys near top plus those guys garner most ownership usually because they playing well.

  • wphill02

I don’t really worry about ownership for the top guys in weekend golf. There’s so many guys that you can get at less than 5% that you can use them to differentiate rather than avoiding the big names who consistently make a bunch of birdies.

For weekend went with core of Spieth, Grace and Lowry as core over 8 teams. Sprinkled in some JT, Reed, and Garcia and went with some one off’s in Jaeger, Li, Kis, Simpson, Bradley, Westy. Only players above 24th I went with were Si Woo and Sneds.

Well my brilliant choice to use Glover over Leishman cost me a 6/6 in my only Milly entry, but I will gladly take the 5/6 this week. Hoping my boy Fowler can sack up and win this thing.

Also, I just saw someone had Phil Mickelson in the weekend tourny I’m in. Phil is .1% owned. Wow.

Just as an example, I made 30 lineups using 13 golfers for this weekend. 4 of them are 30%+ owned but I also have 6 less than 6% and 3 under 1.5% that should differentiate those lineups. Plus I have some lineups with $3000 left on the table.
