The KSDT will not be taking off this week. He’s not in the field as he’s getting married.

Early forecasts are showing “normal” winds for the tournament. 10-20 mph with Thursday AM being the best at 5-10 mph.

This tourney is best when the wind is blowing 20mph so let it blow

Last week was the Luke Donald Open. This week is the Charley Hoffman Open. I am not making the same mistake I made last week.

I’m local – Thurs and Friday are cloudy, 5-10 mph wind. Saturday 20% chance of rain with a small cold front coming in, and Sunday looks picture perfect with 10 mph wind.

Then you are off for 2 weeks as no DFS the week after for the Zurich as it is now a team event.

Why do you think they won’t have for Zurich, yes it’s team but there is a cut and they are using normal scoring.

He asked and DK replied that they would not have contests for that tourney.

Can second this. DK confirmed there would be no DFS contests as they haven’t been able to beta test the format (or something like that).

i had a 6/6 in my $12 SE and didnt cash, because KSDT/hatton/Perez decided to take the weekend off. and dufner can’t close…

    real frustrating.

Still amazed that Perez got 1.5 DK points for his +10 performance on Saturday!?

Didn’t take long for everyone to be back on Koepka. Showed nicely at The Masters and the match play prior but hard for me to not take in to account all the other events previous to those 2. I’m a massive Brooks fan but I hate being on the wise guy picks.
Gotta either go all in or full fade, that’s just my mindset when I play

Love this mindset. His stats are interesting. 15th in BoB% but 200th in Bogey avoidance….. That’s almost dead last. Few blow up holes and his mind is toast.

Interesting tidbit on this tourney is the propensity of players to WD here

I noticed this, but do you think pre-masters or post masters would be significant in the analysis?

Great stats. He’s a massive talent and when he works out a bit of his mental issues, I can see him going on a DJ type run (dead serious)

As of right now, with all the Twitter wise guys and Pat Mayo will back him and that will send his ownership super high, I gotta either be way overweight or just root against him.
    I’ll probably look elsewhere.

Aaah, I looked at that angle

This tournament was only right before the Masters once in recent memory and 80+% of the guys who have WD here didn’t play in the Masters.

Another angle someone posted last year was that allergens are bad this time of the year in that area. I cannot confirm/deny that one as I’ve been to the area in Mid-March or Summer.

I know this Course can be frustrating because of course difficulty and the number of unexpected bogies lurking; there also have been some longer weather delays over the past 5-7 years because of rain/lightning as well as I think excessive wind one year. The delays often meant rounds spilled over to the next day so that is a high correlation to WD’s for guys not wanting to stay an extra night if they are going to MC anyways.

Everyone talking about how this is Hoffman’s course, but Summerhays goes off he every year

I actually think the $4 Fore (20 entry max) is pretty great this week. 28% cash and first prize is pretty sweet IMO. I like the flatter payout, since sits pretty hard to win a GPP lol. 20 entry max let’s me feel like an equal to the Pros. Can’t wait for this week.

Can’t confirm but I’d bet it’s a NO as well at FD

People think it is easy to re-program something for a one-off event but there is a huge cost to building this and let’s be real, DK is not in the business of turning away free money so obviously the cost of re-programming and getting the stats in a slightly different way outweigh their potential return. If DK can’t justify it on their volume, I doubt FD makes it work.

Now with that said, FantasyDraft has been very responsive to the player and may actually do something to capitalize on the opportunity as they want to grow their offering and player base so even if this is done on a break-even or loss scenario, the long term gains may be worth it.

I agree! I only play 20 LUs each week, so I like the 20 entry max as well

Glad to see FD is upping it prize money. I know they lost some money on overlay but keep pumpin that product.

Also.. It would be great to see Fanduel (and DK too really) to run more satellites for contests like the Club Pro, Country Club, etc.. I feel like there is minimal sattys and i love sattys.. Fanduel didnt run like any at all last week.

Reminds me of Mickelson when interviewed on Feherty… Stating, you have to be really really smart to be good or really dumb.. Knowing who this guy pals around with and both the ATHLETE type makes you wonder… Don’t know any of them so it would be nice to lsit IQ.‘s, mouth breather, fold or wad ?
Need an INSIDE EDITION show on the PLAYERS

Just like Jack, Phil processes so much on each shot. Think a lot of guys just PLAY

  • DirtysBurgers

FanDuel prices are up… I know, I am the only one who likes FanDuel golf, but I feel like for people who make 5-7 lineups like me, it is kind of ideal.

As an example, I love Ricky Barnes at $4,800 for a Rd 1-2 play on FD this week. He is a Texas guy and finished top 5 at this tournament last year. On DK, I don’t want to risk throwing away a lineup on a punt like Barnes. On FanDuel though, if he misses the cut it does not completely kill my lineup (I finished 25th this week in the big $3 tourney with Kokrak missing the cut) and if he has a great week, then I reap the benefit of his high placement. The FD format allows for a bit of a riskier lineup construction which can lead to more high finishes (I have already had my 2 best golf weeks ever in the few weeks since FD launched). Just food for thought.

Something to look at while we wait on the DK prices to come out.The gambling odds are starting to come out. Kuchar is the favorite at around 18/1. This site gives odds for most sports books in Europe I think.

  • Jamcclea

    I hope Kucher is 12k

  • Dunzor

The five most expensive guys on FD are: Kuchar, Walker, ZJ, Koepka, Grace in that order. I think they are all fades for me on FD, it’ll be interesting to see the DK pricing as so far there have been some pretty big differences between the two sites. FD seems to take course history & OWGR into account more, and DK usually weights recent form a bit higher in their prices.
