22 feet for eagle, almost fell off my chair. Let’s see if he 3 putts.
Ben Silverman, after carrying me to cashing in the Puntacana, has really disappointed me so far this PM with a +3. After that, trying to find something to complain about… ummm… picking Sepp Straka on those punt LUs really sucked… then… ummm… I got nothing.
Bang!
17 holes of straight garbage.
Then 3 brilliant shots on 18.
Come on juice newton!
I was like Glover is going to be the poo poo platter of my lineup and he tries to redeem himself!
I picked Murray at 1% in the happymeal. My next complaint is HaoTong Li has as much consistency as I do playing golf. Wouldn’t be shocked to see a 64 or an 80 out of him tomorrow. That’s all I have. Not much.
D.A. Points WD after a 78 so wasn’t really going anywhere anyway.
Dude finished his round, grabbed a bite to eat for 30 min, then went back out on the range from like 530-7… He is in full grind mode.. gotta respect it

how so?
I begrudgingly went 30% Conners but model favored him far more than that.
He’s burned me enough to make it distasteful to avoid if possible and he’s my highest leveraged player that didn’t make it into either my cash or single entry lineup as a result – yet I played Grayson in single entry to give an idea of how much I didn’t want to play Conners.
I don’t want to get into the hows or whys but main thing it liked him for was seemed like a very safe, if not among the safest to make the cut this tourney and at that price it couldn’t be passed up. For what it’s worth, had I actually believed my model’s 77% chance of making the cut (3rd best on the entire slate behind Glover and Moore) then I would have been 100% Conners.
I obviously have very good reasons to not believe those numbers. My goal is never to produce accurate cut projections because in a one off event, it doesn’t matter if he should make the cut 75% or 65%, what matters is his relative ability to make the cut vs his peers and his relative pricing vs his peers. When pricing was factored in, even if we safely assume the model is totally overvaluing him, he was a slam dunk.
Now watch Glover, Moore and Conners all implode and make me look quite foolish :)
I should note, Bric75 didn’t play him in cash on Yahoo where Conners was lower mid priced rather than bargain basement so it’s unlikely he valued him the way I did. My cash line is nothing like Bric’s this week but we usually correlate quite a bit and I find it surprising if we don’t share at least 2 golfers so we are often on the same page in regards to methodology.
He probably just viewed him as a cheap cut making option, doubt he went full simple jack like I did with 3rd most likely to make the cut :)

Yeah, I’m glad he is showing a little life. He’s great at Augusta, reasonably priced for the Masters so I won’t mind using him there either.
Friendly showdown reminder 10+ MPH wind for afternoon if you’re looking to stack starting times.
Went with an early Asian showdown core. Pan, Kang, Lee, An so I could have an extra sweat on top of my regular lineups.
I’ll have some shares if he can get a top 30 finish here. That would show me he’s trending at least. His record at the Masters is bomb. I just need to see some more progress this week.
Nick Taylor misses a 4 footer to start off.
Tremendous
so I just learned supposedly that jhonathan vegas is playing through sickness and was seriously considering withdrawing. Now I am kind of scared. If he has a bad round today he might just do so
I only see a 6 foot bogey save after a 41 foot putt.
My mans Mullinax saving this round with the putter so far… He just needs to eliminate a couple of those mistakes and let’s go
Mullinax b2b 13 foot par saves lol
Sung Kang bogey to start is not good for cut sweating today.
Immediately birdies first hole, reverse jinx well played.
He played front 9 in +1 yesterday and it was the harder 9 so I think if he can get one or two back he will be in good shape for back 9.
Spieth 5 foot par save miss to start his round.
Winning a 3-man Showdown with -0.60 points
