very strong field this year, way better than the last two years, and notably the runner up from last year (Cantlay) chose not to commit this year

  • BIF

One of the tougher courses on tour historically with cuts that have been a couple over par. Lots of very tight holes resulting in lots of bogies – this is a week where the bombers skip the event and the ball strikers line up to play here. It’s not a putting contest birdie fest but having guys make par saving 5/8 footers will be important.

Shout out to Ollie for double bogey on 18 last year to miss the cut by one.

Yeah, punched my office desk on that one.

2nd: left rough by the green
    3rd: in the bunker
4th: to the green 5 ft
    5th: MISS

    Fucker!

Can’t wait for him to win again. Definitely going to happen

Kuchar was so disappointing in Mexico. I have a feeling he was there for a vacation and to play a few rounds of casual golf.

  • cheezpizza

All this talk about Spieth struggles and it’s really about him getting confidence back with his putter. He is my top play this week.

I think Speith is happy for JT but he is ready to get some of the thunder back that JT has taken away. Just got that feeling….

  • noddy

Sam Burns is playing. All in?!!????!?!!!!

  • dangasin

Spieth is having a good season so far. 5/6 top 25s, 2/6 top 10s. Managed to do this while missing more putts within 10 feet than he has since he was 12 years old.

I played here at the Copperhead course 6-7 years ago – here is a yardage card they give you when you play here which will give you an idea of how tight some holes are and how the size of greens vary. Some greens are big and some are small targets. Some weird angles where you need to hit it the right distance on the line you choose on some doglegs here or else you go in the water or through the fairway into bad spots. 14 is an S-shaped Par 5 that the longer hitters will play as a straight hole in 2 shots.

    Innisbrook Resort – Copperhead Course
    Par 71
5 Par 3’s – most are pretty tough and three of them come late in the round on 13, 15 & 17
4 Par 5’s – a couple are easy and a couple will yield birds and bogies if inaccurate

Slightly less tilting to have your guys finishing on the front nine Friday instead of sweating those Par 3’s and a tough watery Par 4 16th on the back. The final holes are called the Snake Pit; while not as penal as the Bear Trap 2 weeks ago, there will be bogies made here to ruin chances of playing the weekend.

I could have used that info in advance next time.
I was about 63% Kooch and unfortunately only 25% Hadwin at same price point

I was 100% Kuch and Duff…… and this weeks docs make those two look like chalk…. will be interesting.

I’m not sure how you can go there this week if you look at all the bad shotmaking those two did the past 4 days. Looking at their 4 day shot trackers is not pretty.

Casey $8400 again and huge chalk as usual

I think you are off on both fronts with Casey as he will be the 6th or 7th highest salary and likely $9300-$9700 and I don’t think he’ll be quite as chalky as usual based on his poor history here and the pivots right above/below him have way better history like Stenson and Kooch plus Tiger should get a bump as well close to that price.

  • Jacobkaiser1325

If Tiger is under 9K I’ll have some interest

  • cy1985

Tony Finau played well here last year. Could be finally his week. Never give up.

      RG Overall Ranking

Re koooch and Duf daddy. I saw josh culp’s article showing koooch severely underperforms on shorter tracks like we had in Mexico. It makes 0 sense to me but the stats are the stats and kooch had some bad issues. Our duf daddy on the other hand couldn’t make a 3 foot putt. Some of the most frustrating times watching him 4 or 3 putt every green after green this week. When I make picks I do consider recent form but also consider the fact that some golfers have off weeks and others could have played on a course that really suited their game or not at all the week prior so sometimes passes are issued. If you’re playing GPPs this week kooch and Duf daddy should get the green light for their low ownership based on form, strong course history, the fact that Duf is back in FL where he usually kicks ass, and kooch is playing a tough grinders course that he loves. Sign me up imo
