One more thing. This Sunday night I lucked out and won a $20 PGA milly ticket (off of a .10 entry, no less). For those who win this on a more regular basis, about the milly tickets specifically, do you tend to save them for majors and put in multiple entries with them, or do you “burn” them generally right away?

I ask about the Milly tickets because sometimes they’re $10 and sometimes they’re $20. For the majors, are they generally $10? Thanks.

Three tournaments left before the Masters so this will be on some players mind this week….
You can qualify for Masters by winning one of the next three tournaments or being in the T50 world golf rankings after the World Golf Championship match play.

    Current field is 84 players
Would qualify today based on T50 ranking
Shane Lowry 47th not playing this week
Justin Harding 48th not playing this week
Both are playing next week in match play

Players playing this week who could get into T50. Due to the weaker field not as many points will be available. At worse a T5 is needed for players in T60 and as I drop farther back to Im and beyond it’s no worse than a second and possibly needing a win to do it which would get you in automatically.
    Reavie-56
    Furyk-57
    Ancer-59
    Knox-62
    Hadwin-68
    IM-72
    Harman-74
    Hadley-77

The Valspar. The tournament where I plug Luke Donald into most of my lineups.

PS: That hasn’t worked out too well the past 2 years

Maybe it’s time to finally roster Furyk. I don’t know why, but I hear his name and think “Dude’s gotta be like 60 – I’ve been hearing about him all my life”.

But his form is solid and he’s got good history at the Valspar as well.

Good info. Thanks. Very good players on this list with great recent form

Also ,I believe next weeks matchplay top 64

In EURO world it is Maybank Championship week

Worthy of mention there is some of the guys there, with a win in Malaysia, could possibly get into the T50 and knock some of those lower guys off, or at least make a move towards it

    Adrian Otaegui 70
    Alex Bjork 75
    Thomas Pieters 81
    Lucas Herbert 83

I think Pepperell, Wallace, Fitzpatrick are already in the Masters field as they are already T50?

Thanks, so it sounds like I should just keep trying to win as many as I can then and keep my powder dry.

They are in along with Olesen and Bjerregaard.

This is what I did last year……I used half my milly maker tixs for the Masters, then I used half of what I had left for the US Open all the way to the final major. While the Masters is the goat for golf tournaments it is not that great for DFS. The 6/6 rate is typically 28-35% due to small field and several players who are not worth playing. I would rather keep the majority of my tix for the other three majors when the 6/6 is lower while the payout is still the same, which by the way is horrible but I get it for the milly maker. With one tix you can’t do this but hopefully you grab more. I was able to collect over 80 tix last year for the four majors playing cheap sattys.

Furyk going to be chalk? Form and course history are both there.

Are you willing to play a 8.5-9k Furyk? Due to weaker field along with his recent form, excellent course history and odds being in T10 I would be surprised if he is not 8k at min, more likely higher. His odds are 33/1, better than Stenson, Rafa, Kokrak, Hatton, Bubba and several other players you would think would have better odds.

Ya it is definitely a stronger field than the last few years of this event

Not stronger than last year. Last year had Tiger, Rory, Justin Rose, Bryson, Spieth and Smylie Kaufman. DJ, Rahm and Day are nice but last year it was pretty stacked.

I already made it to Achievement 7 in “Birdie Machine”, LOL! 60 4-day LUs I guess has a way of doing that.

Also thanks to my choices of Rory/Furyk in my LUs I got to Achievement 5 (this is the Top 5 finish one)

At least my investment paid off in that sense. Funny because I had 0 6/6 and lost like 20 bucks on the LUs themselves.

Right there with you. No 6/6 this week but had plenty of Furyk and Rory. Can’t imagine what could have been if I just added a few more 7k guys and decreased Stenson/Casey a bit

Below are the players eligible for next week MP. I wouldn’t expect all to play and if they don’t they just go down the world golf ranking list starting at 65 to gain eligibility. They will use the current rankings to determine since you have to commit before this weeks tourney is completed. Justin Rose will not likely play as he is on record as saying he doesn’t feel this tournament is a good tourney to use as prep play for the Masters. Perhaps the movement of this tourney to a later date changes his opinion or he plays the Valero as I don’t see him not playing for three weeks before heading to the Masters.

Byeong Hun An; Abraham Ancer; Kiradech Aphibarnrat; Lucas Bjerregaard; Keegan Bradley; Rafa Cabrera Bello; Patrick Cantlay; Paul Casey; Jason Day; Bryson DeChambeau; Tony Finau; Matthew Fitzpatrick; Tommy Fleetwood; Rickie Fowler; Jim Furyk; Sergio Garcia; Branden Grace; Emiliano Grillo; Justin Harding; Tyrrell Hatton; J.B. Holmes; Billy Horschel; Charles Howell III; Dustin Johnson; Si Woo Kim; Kevin Kisner; Russell Knox; Brooks Koepka; Matt Kuchar; Marc Leishman; Tom Lewis; Hao Tong Li; Shane Lowry; Hideki Matsuyama; Rory McIlroy; Phil Mickelson; Keith Mitchell; Francesco Molinari; Kevin Na; Alex Noren; Thorbjørn Olesen; Louis Oosthuizen; Eddie Pepperell; Ian Poulter; Andrew Putnam; Jon Rahm; Chez Reavie; Patrick Reed; Justin Rose; Xander Schauffele; Adam Scott; Webb Simpson; Cameron Smith; Brandt Snedeker; Jordan Spieth; Kyle Stanley; Henrik Stenson; Justin Thomas; Matt Wallace; Bubba Watson; Aaron Wise; Lee Westwood; Gary Woodland; Tiger Woods

He’s had success here, but I believe the RBC Heritage is the course where Donald had like 6 straight top 5s or something stupid and people kept playing him the last couple years where he’s fallen apart

They have gotten better recently about adding players after salaries are released for tournaments that require qualifications like the Players or WGC, but they still don’t usually do it for the normal week events

Why does DJ play here all of a sudden?
