I would feel a lot better about some of these guys if the greens were bent and not bermuda.

Of course, they will be running 12 to 12.5 this week.

I think these are going to be “proper” Par 4s and Par 5s, though.

So like last week, we have Bermuda greens. Unlike last week, big hitters are rewarded.

But will he be motivated to win, or just be trying to tune up for the Masters?

Well, he hasn’t had an opportunity to “peak” like these guys always talk about leading up to majors, so this could be his one shot to find his game if he wants to really give the Masters a go.

    I just ran across this:

“We return to Houston in its pre Masters slot but this time we move to a new track at Memorial Park. Tom Doak has undertaken a redesign of this track in the past year or two with the help of some pga tour pros most notably Brooks Kopeka. Koepka has said it’s been one of the most exciting projects he has undertaken outside of playing the game.”

So I will have to add Brooks to the pool, although it’s hard to love his price/form compared to Tyrrell Hatton’s ($300 cheaper on DK).

Well, remember last week when said Brian Gay at 6300 and gave my reasoning?

I think I should go back to writing my Blog that I started last year on here regarding DFS Golf.

Did a little bit of research – using the same ideology as last week – even though it’s a new course, there’s some angles to be had – I’m focusing on guys who either grew up or played in Texas, as well as guys who played well or grew up in Canada/New England

You may be asking (as you probably were wondering where I came up with my crazy Brian Gay strategy and it worked) where to go this week?

UT Alums – Scheffler (raised in Dallas), Hoessler, Spieth, Fritelli, Johnny Vegas,
Guys who play well in Wind – Laird, JT Postman, Tway, Danny Lee, Si Woo Kim
Guys who play well in Texas or from there (Overseeded Greens, Wind) – Hoffman, Streelman, Landry, Jimmy Walker, Ollie Schneiderjans, Henley, Tway, Kang, Lee, O’Hair

    Winner – Finau, Henley, Scheffler
    Fade – Brooks, DJ, Matsuyama
    Sleeper – Landry, Spieth, Tway

Guys who play well in Wind

Not saying you’re on the wrong track, but as someone who lives here, October is probably the least windy month we have. Our winds this time of year are very light with the exception of cold fronts. It is the spring and early summer where we have sustained 20 mph + winds out of the SE from the gulf that give golfers fits. This week has been calm, and I think that is pretty much expected throughout the rest of the week.

Conditions look pretty ideal for this tournament.

Still waiting for the “This is Spieth’s week” crowd. From Texas and plays well at comp courses Trinity Forest and Houston. Has to happen eventually, right?

He’s on my short list, but actually kinda leaning towards a fade and hoping he MC to depress ownership for next week. If he does win this week his ownership and salary will sky rocket next week.

I had him in my initial build, but decided to go with Cam Davis in that range. I may play him though at the masters if his price is reasonable. I’m hoping they put him down around 7500 and I may bite.

I like Cam Davis, too. And I see no reason to move off Denny McCarthy.

Also like Johnny Jake’s mention of SWK, he’s a good Bermuda greens player. In short, I was hoping to make just 6 lineups so I could 4-enter them in those 25 ticket contests on DK. But I have to go with more, just like last week.

    Spieth is $8200 for Masters.

Anyone notice that the course loaded onto the pga tour leaderboard is not correct? Looks like it’s from the Safeway….

At the price I’m going Sergio Garcia, the pricing is really good IMO for this masters.

  • BrianVT

Any AM/PM thoughts? I’m pretty heavy on AM at the moment.

  • travischavanne5

i noticed that too, no tourcast either. Hoping it’s all a big mistake and they fix it lol

  • travischavanne5

tourcast is up now. PGA app is only showing 3 par 5’s is that a mistake?

Is there going to be a Euro Happy Meal (all 4 rounds) this week? I’m ready to make my weekly donation.

  • byo34

It is officially a 7,432 yard par 70.

Get your bombers and long iron guys out!

No. LFN put up a showdown.

There is no classic tournament on DK because they’re doing something weird.

2 fewer par 5s should translate into 2-4 points fewer/round on MKF, right?
