What to do with Webb at a pretty high price tag. And Rahm chalk sitting at 2!

I played Webb quite a bit at the RBC Heritage, and this might be a week I jump off.

While the top end pricing looks solid, there are some notable surprising names near the bottom that are going to be massively owned. Alex Noren is a top 20 OWGR player and is priced at 6600. Also I have to imagine there is going to be heavy ownership of Kokrak & Harman at 6700, Gmac at 6500, and HVIII at 6300.

I figure Blixt at $6,500 after winning this week might be popular and DeChambeau at $6,100 looks tasty as well. I also like Etulain at min price.

  • Frustrated

Webb’s a full fade for me. He plays grind it out par golf anyway not much of a scorer and I just couldn’t deal with the heartache of him missing putt after putt after putt. If Webb beats me so be it but I can deal with that given his steep price tag this week.

  • Jamcclea

I’m going to happily fade Webb. I don’t care if his mother birthed him on the 9th green of this course, I’m not playing him.

tell me he shlept the sticks around here for some scratch at 14yrs old and I will change my mind.

trying to find the course peculiars and am not finding anything. got the yardage, but poor mans Augusta isnt much to go on…….Anyone have personal knowledge of this place. I cant find any other prof tourney held at Eagle Point.

  • Jamcclea

I think I’m just embracing the no course history and going on recent form and the baseline stats. Just going to keep it pure.

    They are
1 late. I think they would post asap because of past overlays or

    2 dropping golf

3 coming up with new format

Zac Blair went from a near auto-roster every week due to underpricing to “hey maybe I better wait and see if I should roster him” at $7600

I know, this is what I’m struggling with as well. Is the course wide open or tight and narrow? I read they removed trees a few years back to increase windflow from the coast. If this course is wide open, List is begging me to keep burning money.

Sustained Wind of 21 mph on Thurs. Yikes. Seems like weather issues have been a constant lately.

I think the team plays were carried by one person on some teams. Some guys were playing well, and maybe carried the team…

A week or two ago someone on this forum mentioned that fanduel is dropping the r1 r2 / r3 r4 format and fantasydraft is doing a best 6 out of 7 format. Neither site has contests up yet. Could this be the reason?

Why would they be? They filled the 30,000+ entry Eagle contest the last go around. Overlay was only a major issue the first couple of weeks. They intentionally made the Masters’ contests huge to figure out the proper sizes for the remaining majors.

  • regns08

Question for you regular pga dfs players, why do you continue to put up with soft guarantees and insane rake? 470 person field and 70 of the entries go right to dk, it is sad.

15% rake sucks, but unless someone can start competing with dk/fd they don’t really have any reason to lower it

  • Inkbullets

So just did a quick run through of pricing, McDowell at 6500? Will have to look into the course more but that just doesn’t make sense.

  • yeltonba

For everyone looking for some course info, my buddy has caddied out there since he was a kid and is caddying in the pro-am. He told me the course is pretty wide open and that bombers should definitely have an advantage.

  • BeeLo16

    At first look the most mispriced golfers IMO are: Oosthuizen ($8,100), Grillo ($7,500), Lowry & List ($6,900), M. Jones ($6,800), A. Noren ($6,600), G Mac ($6,500), Cink ($6,400), HV3 ($6,300)

    I’d be bummed by that.
I was skeptical of the format, but I’ve done well with it so far.
If nothing else I like that wach site has a different experience – allows me different exposure, teams.strategies, etc and I enjoy that. I don’t know why everything has to be homogenized.

Because it is a fun game to play and I enjoy it?

What is so sad about that?
