For everyone looking for some course info, my buddy has caddied out there since he was a kid and is caddying in the pro-am. He told me the course is pretty wide open and that bombers should definitely have an advantage.

Question for you regular pga dfs players, why do you continue to put up with soft guarantees and insane rake? 470 person field and 70 of the entries go right to dk, it is sad.

well for some, I guess its really the only game in town. Some are much more discerning and refuse to play those slates and stick to cash games. Some probably dont know what the heck you are talking about. For myself, I play the QA and I pick and chose other contests depending on the field. The rake factors into my decision sometimes but not often.

But…you posted this, you are a regular pga DFS player. Why do you still play ?? Insane rake??(not argueing its hi, just a particularly interesting word you used) and other than DK rolling back on their profit out of the goodness of thier heart, What would you like the average Joe to do about it?

  • TheRyanFlaherty

Stinks, FD moved the bigger GPP from $3 to $4.
Know that probably barely registers for most on here, but as a low stakes player $3 was already more than I like to play when multi-entering…now not sure what I need to be entering this week….decisions are starting early lol

Edit* that $4 tournament really blows. Min payout is $6?
Did they keep the same payout as past weeks but up it a buck just to be able to tout a higher first place or something? Looks like it’s $1 games for me this week

  • MrSnuffleupagus

4$ does suck. I wish DK would offer a fucking thunder dome satty for .25cents a entry

Fingers crossed for overlay. The payout structure isn’t horrible though…6.2x and 37.5x for a Top 1% and Top .01% finish, respectively.

They lowered the entries by approx 10k based on what they had been trying to get entered. If there is overlay will most likely be small. Pricing is tighter to as recently 10k ish was top price.

I also see DK went to there crazy 8’s promo for there big weekend golf contest…the $4 is like 20k twenty max entry…won’t be long before crazy 8’s take over the main slate for golf being the highest winning payout contest…
Baseball has now started that way, tomorrow introducing crazy 8’s and NASCAR is now $6 this weekend for big tourney…the days of being able to win 50-100k on a $3-$4 entry appear to be over as it will now cost you $6-$8.. it’s still fun though….:)

I think I messed up my math when I was initially calculating the 1% payout, so it was looking worse to me.
Thx for putting that causing me to reexamine it.
Might still be worth it then depending on how confident I am after researching and how many teams I want to make.

I live 10 mins from the course and I’m going on Saturday. Never been to a golf tourney either. Guess I may as well throw some entries in for the hell of it.

I usually only play larger fields with top heavy payout structures where I think I still have an edge for specific reasons or higher buy ins with less rake. I would love to play more if rake was lowered. I am pretty disappointed with the new high buy in thunderdome satty that dk posted. It went from a $560 10 man to a $490 12 man, almost doubling the rake, those never overlayed and was a nice chance at a thunderdome seat 1/10 times. It’s like they are trying to be sneaky with the rake increase and I think that is bullshit, if you want to increase the rake I would rather them just keep the tournament a 10 man and raise the entry fee, not try to disguise the rake increase.

  • thetitanlb

Gmac and Noren are way too cheap. That’s all I have to say….

I couldnt agree more. I would sign up for a protest and maybe even participate in a march. But none of that is an option in our particular circumstance. I have seen people voice similar opinions and seen the trolls descend on them. Honestly, I dont understand people defending a gambling provider. Sure they put out big outlays of cash to get the business going, but they own the golden goose now. At this point they will maximize profits off the backs of the players and we will go down quietly until we fight back. Geez, IMHO 5% rake is more than enough. The big fish get the free perks maybe a little less rake and the little guy pay’s for it all.

Your right, it is something I don’t even pay attention too. Also would guess, some of THOSE players are making money off of it… Many many names on this site and know one, really knows who is on the other end of each keyboard…
Too bad, and it (the rake) will be pushed to the limit…
That is a good post for someone that has time to post it each week or month, rake from each site… and changes to the better or worse. What made you bring it up ? Is htere a better site ?

It seems players who are long but also fairly accurate should be able to attack this course.

I can’t tell if these descriptions truly seem tough for long sprayers off the tee, or they’re just making safe landings in the fairways seem more difficult than they really will be.

That would be the gambling provider Paid defendants. A building full of employees, and hired help if needed, I would only suspect the manipulation is off the charts… Of course, full denial would be part of that… Who us ? No way, you are paranoid, or a conspiracy theorist, they label you a nut job and everyone else that should or could help and join in therefore runs scared as to not be LABELLED..

It is important that GOOD people stick together for the betterment of each other… When and if the time is right, we should call them out.. I am 100% sure, they now know about this..

Maybe there is collusion ? Of course there is, it is about protecting the brand and the cash… Put simply to the employee, it is about protecting your JOB.
Same thing is now rampant in politics thru the Koch brothers… Backing of Fox news, Liberty party and complete and utter nonsense of the SUPER conservative party and human being… You must be a good citizen and march to THIS BEAT or your less of a human and a terrible American… You would be amazed how fast people fall inline when labelled outside of THEIR own thought pattern.. I have in-laws just like this here in Southern-Florida… Super christians, Super Trump backers… All for another day…
It does always start and end with money…
This post in itself might get me a

You are right. It stinks, and I don’t really want to think about it. I hate that it now costs $4 to play. I know that it is a ripoff. But I believe all gambling is a ripoff. Those casinos were not built on winners, right. I believe that people actually gamble to lose. We just want to feel alive for a few moments. Even guys who you call professional gamblers, they are going to hit Skid Row too. It may just take a little longer.

Anywhoo, I made my first LU for the Wells Fargo. What do you think about Blixt and Hoge as cheap guys to own??? That is who I went with in my first LU.

Playing the George Cantstandya opposite of what I think might win. Picked 6 then changed to same price player or closest to him.

I have never thought of this strategy in DFS. It’s gotta be gold Jerry!

  • Sharpljp

Quad leave politics out of this. Think we all have had enough of people putting each other down. I’m a big TRUMP supporter and I’m sure others in here are too. But it is all good. Back to golf..

With little course history, I think (for GPPs) price point pivots (PPPs) will be even more profitable this week. Feel like big names will be extra chalky this week. And Webb I think will definitely have an advantage. To me he finishes T25. Not bad but may not win a GPP.

FanDuel’s running zero satellites for high entry fee tournaments. DK has not been either but now atleast they offer 33$ sattys to the thunderdome. Still would like to see them offer 3-5$ sattys to the thunderdome. To me that’s what’s really appealing about DFS is that a guy can win a 3 dollar satty, cash in the big tournament, and make good money.. all from the 3$ satty. It gives guys that don’t have the PRO bankroll an actual shot.. which appeals to the overwhelming majority of DFS players.

  • cjstout21

wrong to trust Cink and McDowell in cash? Seems like with the windy conditions McDowell would be a good play.
