    WGC – Bridgestone Invitational

I’ll open the thread but cannot update it or post any links as I’m in a golf tournament this week and packing for a move on July 4th so I’ll trust that other posters can add relevant info about the tourney and any past winners or WD’s.

Playing 1 lineup as I cannot stay away – $33 and $3 GPP’s plus all the satellites

  • BrianVT

Well, I’m down to $3 in my DK balance after last weekend and I’m not throwing anymore in. Looks like I’ll be going with 12 LUs in the quarter arcades!

what’d you guys think DJ’s ownership is going to be like?

    I’d say DJ 25% . Hurley probably 20%

Doubt Hurley is 20% but expect it to be higher than it should be, maybe in the 12% range. Horrible recent form until he got to play at his home course.

I agree but I would be willing to bet that this week’s winning LU in the birdie has a player that shoots 74-78 Thursday or Friday and would have missed the cut if there was one and then comes back and shoots a 64-66.

Not so sure about that Bill. I think BOFR and A4U70 will be the winners. Many players with enough talent to pull that off. Including Kuchar.
There is an aspect in sports where you tend to play at the level of your competition.
I expect that with a field like this everyone will step their game up and we will see many players going low.
Course History (Winner, Winning Score, Cut line):
    2015 (Shane Lowry, -11, NC)
    2014 (Rory McIlroy, -15, NC)
    2013 (Tiger Woods, -15, NC)
    2012 (Keegan Bradley, -13, NC)
    2011 (Adam Scott, -17, NC)
    2010 (Hunter Mahan, -12, NC)
    2009 (Tiger Woods, -12, NC)
    2008 (Vijay Singh, -10, NC)

I follow Rob Bolton on Twitter and like reading his weekly power rankings. For snorts and giggles, I put his top 20 players this week (33% of the field) in a lineup generator and faded everyone else. Only got 6 lineups and all 6 had Kevin Na. So as is usually the case, still going to have to find those one or two guys below 7k that win you the money in GPPs.

Wasn’t referring to the outright winner of the tourney. With a small field I fully expect the winning GPP lineups to have at least one guy that shoots a mid 70s round and a mid 60s round.

I was gonna skip this week too until I saw how cheap Kuchar is. Best player not named Dustin for 2 months and never finished worse than 27th in 6 tries at this event? Yeah I will take some Kooch.

    haha knew you couldn’t resist

Just to be in the money I am sure you are correct.
I like Bolton also, but like the rest of the experts they give no guidance as to LU formulations.

I do not see him in this tournament or in DK salaries.
He is not playing, maybe you knew that?

Going through the prices I really feel like Harris English ($7300), Kevin Na ($7300) and Danny Lee ($7400) are mispriced. Of the 3 I like Harris English the best.

Highly doubt it. GOAT is not the GOAT that is for sure.

I bet some will own dead last MATSUMURA at $5700 thinking its Matsuyama $9300

  • billholler

Why does it seem like every week when I look for a cheap player that fits the course there is always Jim Herman? His accuracy, GIR and proximity are off the charts. One of the worst putters on tour but for 5800 he is my only true semi-scrub that I like this week.

Mickleson/ Matz stack .these guys gotta catch fire eventually ….right

Was thinking the same thing after I almost made the mistake.

Thought Fantasy Aces has screwed up the pricing.

Still making an all AZN team….

Mickelson, Day, or Mickelson, DJ, or Kooch, Day Stack?

His stats are skewed because he won the Shell Houston open
