Have no idea, don’t care, because thinking like that, takes the fun out of it for me, to each his own they say.

It’s not a big amount anyway but if someone entered 107x (maximum), I think he/she should rather go straight to the Milly Maker!

I am going to try to max enter the 50 cent contest by entering one lineup at a time. I find it a lot easier to click on golfers I don’t normally play when it is only 50 cents.

You are one crazy SOB. 150 LU’s by hand. 1 at a time in DK’s system. No dups!!!
LOL, you will be so frustrated, I say you give in about LU 35. Good luck finishing before contest close

I see that a lot of people enter qualifiers/satellites, but doesn’t it make you pay rake twice?

I guess it depends how you look at it – this satellite has a much better return than what 98+% of people get out of a GPP.

I can enter a GPP and finish between top 12-20% and get only a 1.5x return or I can finish Top 18%ish in this Satty and get a 4x return ($20 ticket for $5).

In this week’s big $5 GPP you have finish higher than 2577th of 154K+ or inside the top 1.7% get at least the same 4x return.

Sure that $20 ticket has a realistic return of about $10 (after rake and the Winner’s Million are take out of the equation) but that $20 ticket also could win you the million or more likely a min cash of $30.

Again it’s a matter of opinion.

For the last major, I won 130 tickets off approx $750-$800 in satellite entries over about 5 weeks so in my case I paid $750-$800 for $2600 in ticket value that ended up winning about $1800. Not great if I paid the $2600 (I had zero Molinari) but it was a pretty good return based on the $750-800 it cost me.

I usually manually enter everything I do but the DK App is pretty easy to use and quick – I don’t do 150 but have often done 50-70 lineups.

I guess I need to put a crowbar in my wallet and get a tablet. I couldn’t see doing it on the phone but If the app can be used? I feel like such an old guy..I use a desktop. All the better software is developed for mobile. Why is a desktop a second class device?

I just want to throw out my inner Quadhole. They track everything now a days. Our civil liberties are out the door. I find it hard to believe that the general public, or at least a semi well funded organization, doesn’t protest.

A desktop is just that….something that belongs on a desk top. 😁

A mobile device is just that as well – imagine what your life could be like if you left the cave and went to Starbucks with your tablet and could build/enter lineups on their wifi ?

In all seriousness, most tablets can’t do what you do on your spreadsheets so there is a place for each piece of equipment. I’m considering upgrading from my iPad and getting a Microsoft Surface so I can utilize spreadsheets and other software with the mobility and benefits of a tablet.

Desktops are elite. None of that mobile software can be created with said mobile device.

To avoid a substantial amount of tracking, one must disable cookies and javascript in the web browser. This will provide you with a neutered vanilla web experience. One can then begin to allow javascript/cookies on websites they approve.

To further avoid tracking, one can purchase a VPN and access the internet through the TOR browser. The TOR browser will also give you access to many additional parts of the internet E.G. “Dark web”,“deep web”.

Yep, that’s exactly right. The poorest value on the site are $0.25 qualifiers.

In equity terms the value of the entry is about $0.15

27” iMac, these ole eyes need all the help they can get, mobile is fine for tracking results, but entering line ups? no way

I am and always will be a laptop user…and I WILL ALWAYS have a mouse…I tried to buy this fancy ass Samsung Tablet with the pen so I could download the racing forms and still take my notes. One day a female friend convinced me to do everything on the tablet and life would be easier. SO one day about 4 months ago im playing the horses in my man cave how I usually do except I am using my fabulous tablet. Until I couldnt use the pen fast enough to fill out my betting ticket and it cost me a 1400.00 trifecta among other wagers…would you like to know where that tablet is now? Its at the bottom of a plastic bin with a cracked screen with all the other bullshit toys I JUST HAD TO HAVE.

    I love my laptop!

I tried this and it nearly instantly cracked the screen.

I use a mobile device, iphone or ipad to create my lineups, but use a desktop or laptop for research. Something about the desktop version of DK drives me nuts. I think I also use the mobile for my lineups because when following, I love the DK live app now that they have filters so you can only track certain players. It’s all user preference though. I can do almost everything from my iphone X now a days and it gets used a lot more than any other device I have. I could actually do my whole job from my phone if I wanted to.

Every lineup I make is by hand. Not sure lineup generators are beneficial for the avg player because many don’t know the ins and outs. If you don’t understand how to use the generator then how can you be getting the optimal lineups. Many generators have very few instructions but the rules that are applied to them are many. Without knowing all the rules and understanding those rules, how can you be confident in your lineups.

Hey Y’all, DK just put up the LAST SHOT: PGA $2.75M Fantasy Golf Millionaire SUPERSatellite [750x]

3567 entries $5each, have to make top 20% approx – this will fill fast

Diverting some entry money to this. Would rather win Milly ticks than min cash a GPP this week

    Thanks

Me too, The research, the picking player pool, then making the LU’s is probably my most fun. That fun is generally carried over to the event and the ability to win money and say to the world…….I can do this. I can beat 80% of the gambling sports nuts and maintain a bankroll. I have a shot at beating 99.999999% of the everyone who plays to top 5 a Gpp.

I do it all on excel. I couldn’t do it by hand on DK. It would take to long, I would be confused about (many things, dups, exp….). Not to mention edits….You get a late scratch in the event, your stuck with a 100% DK player swap. I found editing with max LU’s is the worst and quadruples time involved. With all this said…Golf is the easiest (simplist) game to LU by hand. NFL, MLB are more difficult. I do have my favorite spreadsheet template, available for you, if you would like

thanks for the comments on computing. since I only have experience with the desktop, Its good to hear that the grass isnt always greener elsewhere. I refused to go mobile, my choice. It just seems, I am being my dad and technically behind the times. That image hurts a little too.

In that case, it was profitable for you. Getting 130 tickets out of $750-$800 is nuts though! The majority of people probably don’t get that kind of return.

I was just trying to go with basic maths. Every ticket you win has a real value of $17 and not $20, and the satellite itself takes a rake.

It becomes beneficial if you’re profitable over the long term and win more tickets than the money spent to get them.

When doing a 150 LU I generate LUs on the desktop/laptop, load them in, then tweak using the app. The reason I do this is the LUs on the app are sorted by most expensive first, so I can get a broad sense of the cores I’m using, which ones I want to use or pivot away from, etc. It also identifies near-dupes, for example five of the same golfers but Zac Blair in the 6th spot instead of Ryan Blaum, stuff like that.

With EURO I don’t have that luxury so I break out my cores and do them all by hand on the app for the most part (because it’s quick and I can do that anywhere). In summary I kind of use desktop/laptop/app at different times for different reasons.
