She’s not even due until August

August is a week away. Due dates aren’t exactly a science, my kid was 3 weeks early and with twins they may want to induce at anytime due to her past issues.

I’m not on Fitzpatrick this week. I think Sergio does better in the heat.

    Any Jordan Spieth takers?

He hit like a quarter of the fairways last week. I’m out

You can throw out away any of your data from the Open, IMO.

  • hautalak

Yeah I have Spieth in 2/3 so far. He can get those birdies!

That’s an actual tournament he plays well in.

He cant hit fairways anywhere so IMO that limits his birdie opportunities in an event where everyone plays 72 holes.

Hey All. Playing 20 max LU in the $3. How many players should I have in my pool? Especially for a no cut 64 player tournament

16-20 if you want it tight
20-24 if you want more variety

Just keep in mind that you have 600% of ownership to spread across your player pool; if you want to be truly balance you can go 20 guys at 30% each or 24 at 25% each; alternatively with no cut this week you can be more aggressive and lock in on 6 guys at 50% and spread the remaining 300% across the rest of your player pool.

Makes lots of birds (and bogies) – at his price (15th highest salary), he would still need to pay off with some position points and a Top 10-12 finish.

I don’t hate a small piece of him but I wouldn’t go too heavy as he will miss half the fairways and with some water here, coming in from short grass is much better.

Can you throw away his 149th tee to green ranking on a course with hard to hit fairways and small greens?

Are you going to throw away Billy Horschel?

Horschel is much better t2g, but is much worse making birdies so yes…I have “thrown away” Horschel. I would have some of him (most likely) if this was a full field event with a cut.

Yea, if it weren’t a 64 man field, he would be a good pivot from higher ownership, but I don’t think ownership matters in a 64 man field, so hard to decide if he’s worth the long shot. Chalky lineups could be winners this week, so not really a need for him, but if he’s a top 10, then would still want to have him.

With his CH here, and having a decent season so far, combined with his price, he’s going to be a no-brainer for a lot of people and likely very chalky. So, my point was, anybody playing him is obviously throwing away results from the Open. You seem to not be one of them.

I prefer guys who missed the cut at the Open…Mats, Scott etc. Some of them got a really bad weather draw

Can we trust a grown man who still goes by Billy?

They both putted poorly and endured unlucky weather. Anyways I like Mats this week

I’d have to find some data, but you might have a point.

I’m going right back to Day this week, so I have no issues throwing away results from the Open. My two biggest priorities are ball striking and birdie making. I’ve also looked a little at Bermuda putting (enough to cross Finau off my list). I’m going with 3 bullets this week, so I don’t have a wide range of golfers.

anybody on rcb please don’t laugh

I played a good chunk of him. His recent form has been great in the euro stats and seems to do well in WGC tournaments. Tgis is of course looking at last weeks disaster round which many good players had

The way he’s been scoring lately, in a contest he’s guaranteed to get 4 rds in, I’m very much on him.

I hear ya. Here’s some comparison on SG:BS, though:

    Last 12 rounds:
    Day – 9th
    Ho – 16th

    Last 16 rounds:
    Day – 13th
    Ho – 9th

    Last 24 rounds:
    Day – 22nd
    Ho – 16th

    Last 36 rounds:
    Day – 17th
    Ho – 28th

Just not sure Jason Day is the ball-striking guy you’re looking for, but also the always un-known factor is: does their recent form tell us anything about how they’ll play this weekend? We’ll see who gets that part right or wrong with all of the screaming and tilting in here tomorrow ;)
