anybody on rcb please don’t laugh

No laughing here, the guy made 10 birdies in 2 rounds at The Open so obviously he’s was hitting it well some holes, it was just the other stuff that got to him and not keeping the ball in play. He had 9 bogeys, 2 doubles and a triple…obviously the penalty for the rough here wont be as bad but there is water for him to find etc. Bright side is he had some extra rest with the MC.

Does anyone know why DK doesn’t have anything running for the Barracuda?

Happened last year too. You would think with the Modified Stableford scoring it would be the perfect golf dfs event. DK apparently doesn’t agree

    Brooks over DJ
    Tommy over Casey
    Kuchar over Webb
    Thomas over Cantlay

Anyone want to talk me out of any of these?

  • karonica

not that it matters but it seems to me like a balanced approach for this week the top guys are the top guys but not too crazy bout any of them

i will probably not place but these no cut events eliminate the sweat and the headaches

    i have had 3 str8 weeks of either 3/6 or 4/6 and 1 week was 2/6 ouch

but have done pretty good ) for me) on weekend s and final rounds

got some scorers in the lineup i like to use only one win or lose with it

good luck all!!!!! done tweeking. will lick my wounds thursday lol

I am, he totally screwed over my open lineups so it just makes sense that he will top five with a bunch of points here this week.

Bryson is really popping up in all of my research. He’s right in that area of Scott, Mats and Kuch so should go under owned.

It’s not a stroke play event – they are using a Stableford scoring system and scorecards are not kept in the normal fashion so complete hole by hole stats are not available in all cases

They’ve never had this event – it would not be super tough to do – just enter doubles for holes where a score is not provided – I think the other issues are there is no “under 70” bonuses as round scoring is not kept either – for one event a year when there is another bigger one being played, it’s really not worth their time for small amount of rake returned.

I hope you are wrong on three of those

I will have shares of 7 of those 8 but I’m more heavy on the right side of the equation

Isn’t the Stableford scoring system pretty much identical to DK scoring?

The field seems pretty decent (certainly better than the Barbasol).

Has anyone done any analysis to see if WD rate is constant for individuals that tend to WD? Or if once you WD a few times, you’re less likely to WD in the future?

I need to run a proper segmentation on my historical data someday to sort this out to identify guys with elevated risk of future WD … but to me, this is the biggest blindspot I have this week, just because I don’t yet have a model to predict WD (and haven’t cared as much about it until this tourney).

Sounds like nonsense to me to try to model/predict this as guys WD for many reasons both before a tourney and after it starts (these have included: Injury, birth of baby, too hungover to play after winning, passport/visa issues, return from injury but still not quite right and the ever-popular playing bad so they quit and claim an injury). There is also the DQ risk if you really want to get creative (these have included: signing an incorrect scorecard, failure to sign scorecard and playing with an illegal club).

If you are really that concerned just don’t play Na, Louis or Day and you’ve covered off 98.5% of your WD risk; throw a Woodland fade in and you are probably over 99% safe.

Any strong lean on RCB vs Chez? Chez has the CH but RCB brings the birdies

I am on Chez, thinking RCB brings big ownership. Think Chez has better chance to Top 10 this week

Yah Na is a risk of that for sure as he pulled out of the last 2 events (including a major) with a neck injury and now he is fine ? I liked his fit here but can’t play him off a neck injury.

Thanks! Not what I wanted to hear. Got a free deposit bonus, so was going to do a matchup parlay. Not feeling great about it now! I’ll prob just pick one vs a parlay.
