Contact Coop and he’ll get you, even if he doesn’t respond.

He didn’t get me in when I missed. It was probably just me though…

I just bought new golf clubs (like literally a minute ago, shipping them to me).

This makes sense since I played once last year. (actually it may have been two years ago)

    And I am really bad.

So yeah, should def buy good clubs that make it hard to play, b/c they will look nice sitting there.

Yea I also saw the payout structure for the $10 and decided to skip it. Playing some $3 lineups instead and it’s filled.

I’ll take this late start over last weeks early starts. I still haven’t gotten caught up on sleep yet.

I skipped that $10 contest as well. Would have been nice if they left 1st place at $100,000 and made the pay out structure below better than the normal $5 contest, maybe one day.

    Winner: Reed
    Fade(s): DJ/Brooks
    Sleeper(s): Putnam/Harding

Is golf on yet…? GL everyone!

He hasn’t been around so maybe that’s why. Last time I asked was prolly a month ago.

For you guys new to golf, my one recommendation would be to find/buy a copy of Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons. I know there are lots of golf books out there, but that one is a classic still today, and breaks the fundamentals of the swing down into an easy to follow, easy to replicate way. I was struggling for a while, and just a couple of his points in there, that I hadn’t been focusing on before, got me to a very enjoyable level of golf currently. Worth a try…

Cooper08, right? I’ll IM him here.

Mats for the St. Jude’s, Grillo for the Barracuda, incidentally.

Yeah no guarantees though. He’s helped me previously but it’s been a while.

I don’t think that is the case unless they changed it thanks to Daniel Burger being injured and deciding to just gingerly hit 1 tee shot on #1 before WDing so he could pick up the last place paycheck.

Am I the only one here who has never played golf? I actually started a round once for a bachelor but we didn’t finish the round because we were too drunk.

    You’re not the only one!
Closest I’ve gotten is going to the driving range… and I am terrible. I step into it like a baseball swing. I can hit it far, but it rarely goes straight. lol.

Nobody cares about the payout structure. Everyone gets in to win. That’s it. If you don’t win it, who cares.

Most people don’t but I surely do, and I would guess it’s one of the reasons why I have been profitable over the years! I entered the $555 contest but didn’t even bother entering the $10 one.

I know that RIcky Bobby said “If you ain’t first, you’re last”, but that doesn’t apply to DFS. You should be able to make some good money if you finish in the top 100 of a 100K entrant contest, but that’s not the case in top heavy contests.

I drove some balls too and I’m also not good at it. I’m used to make slapshots, where the “swing” is completely different.

Hahaha at least the baseball step and swing feels almost natural. I could see the hockey shot for putting, but for driving, that’s got to feel odd!

This is a little off topic so hopefully I don’t get the boot for it but has anybody in here played The Golf Club on PS4? I’ve been considering getting it for awhile now but haven’t been able to pull the trigger. Thought someone in here might be able to persuade me one way or the other.

Good luck this weekend everyone and thanks in advance for any opinions!

Anybody else have a lot of Woodland? Can’t seem to get away from him on FD. I keep telling myself that he’s close to home and he wouldn’t play in this situation if he wasn’t gonna be 100% focused on playing his best golf. Orrrrr maybe he’ll just hit a tee shot on 1 and WD lol
