Dude, how do you pick guys at a new course? Just feel and recent form? Data guy like me is lost at new courses. Hate them.

No data for me. I’m always gonna be over weight on ball strikers like morikawa. And he was too cheap again…I like guys who crush their second shot and hope they get hot putting

So, you mean you just play guys you like all the time? I know you’re not a data guy. Just curious what the thought process was. Morikawa is such a letdown so often.

I don’t have a good answer for that. I think it helps that I play all the dfs major sports and I’m not afraid to lose. I’m not farting around and hedging on guys. I pick who I think is a good course fit along with recent form and I go for it. So far this year I’ve gone 100% in four tournies and all four have hit. Sometimes it’s kang and it’s sucks but I’d rather just go for it than hedge. If it doesn’t work I’ll just play nba or something else.

I think a lot of the regulars here are golf only guys and that may prevent you from taking big chances because you don’t want it to ruin your pga weekend 🤷🏻‍♂️

@mhwhatever it is. Thanks for posting things like “morikawa wet” on Thursday makes this even sweeter

    That was a powerful jinx

80 in and 540 out, I feel bad about the jinx because as soon as I hit enter…..BOOM. I had hopes of even a better week if 1 or 2 out of the 3, played good enough to get it.

PGA is pretty much all I play because it’s the only one I would enjoy watching (plus a little NASCAR and soccer here and there). I don’t take big chances cuz I just don’t like losing money. I’m working up the courage, though. My philosophy has basically been aim small, lose small. I always suck at the big tournaments, though (majors, WGCs, no-cuts); can’t figure them out. It’s fun to hit some little ones in-between, though. Congrats on your wins! Hoping for that day eventually – patience is a virtue.

Nice, Tim! That’s a good week.

It’s crazy in the no cut events. People that shouldn’t even be around for the weekend end up Top 10 or better. Gotta stick with the guys who seem to make a lot of birds (even tho they can make big number to). Morikawa made 27 birds this week. That’s a monster number anywhere.

Ocala is a really swell town for rich folks. If you would be so kind as to do the DFS legwork, I will be appreciative. Just don’t give me a lineup of KIms and Lees please.

The last time they were here, I played in the media tournament, but I doubt they are having it this year.

They just opened the World Equestrian Center and there are fans there every day, so I’m curious if they are going to let fans on the golf course.

LPGA coming to my favorite local course Golden Ocala next week.

When I was a junior golfer (30+ years ago) there were 2 brothers from Golden Ocala who would come up to Canada for the summer and stay with their grandparents that I would golf with.

I had 6/6 on my LPGA lineup this week so might as well roll with it another week.

  • kps3205s

If I am reading this correctly….since the PRO started back up in 2008, Viktor Hovland and Michael Bradley are the only 2 winners to go on and win another PGA Tour event??? Interesting.

You do you man. It should all be about having fun. 99.9% of people who say they are a successful gambler haven’t been doing it for very long. Easy come, easy go. There’s a reason you see 1-800-GAMBLER numbers on every fantasy platform…as well as at the bottom of this page ;-)

It’s a real nice course, lots of replica holes.

Much better now than it was 30 years ago.

When Roberts bought the place, he poured millions into it. The cart path is made of hundreds of thousands of pavers.

  • Money0227

Collin was a stone-cold killa out there today. This was not a course where sitting on a lead coming down the stretch was easy.

And that is that. My best PRO lineup: 569.5. Best WGC: 542.5.

Congrats to all who’ve done better. Maybe NASCAR will work out better for me.
    ~

569.5 in the PRO is pretty good 👍 that should be good for 5X return; I had a 550 that returned 3.5-4X in everything.

My WGC was a little better with 4 lineups between 553-570 as I had lots of Morikawa plus decent amounts of Billy, Hovland, Reed, Cam and Fitz – lineups got hurt by English, Lowry and Wiesberger but overall a good week

biggest bang for the buck. yes I want to win and willing to take risks. I am not afraid to lose because I dont play the amount that would hurt. its disposable income. I unfortunatly dont think I will win a milly. I want to win enough to sustain, break even weeks with a few 2× 3x and a minimum of 0 return weeks. I play real tight cores and trust to chance I have a winning week more than not. Hope I have experience and knowledge to push me to profitability.

I use to gamble all the time on anything, maybe not as much as you but a lot. The ideas of big betting means big profits…good luck with that.

  • Shaver933

Decent day today to cap off a roughly even week on MKF. Rahm made a few too many birdies in round 4 to sink some killer 5/5 bets for the full weekend.

If we break apart the MKF conversation, I’m not sure how much it makes sense to participate, but whatever. I’m not sure I want to be posting in a public forum in an obvious spot. “They” might start watching more closely if we do.

Got Morikowa at 45/1. Can’t hit much on DFS but cashing some tickets at the window. 👊😂🔥💰

It was good…$3 in quarter juke. But that’s all I played it in, I was misgruntled by the DK PRO offerings and didn’t do anything else with my lineups.

Ended up more than doubling a small amount of money there. And getting back a little less than a quarter of larger money (and no tickets) in WGC.

Still, I’ve done far worse! Ready willing and able to try again next week.

3rd and 7th for 33k. Could have really used a bully ho meltdown to take it down

100% morikawa in flop shot and only won a few hundred. Pretty awful player pool

    Congrats playboy

Congrats to Brian Sleazy Tim and all who won this week

I came out ahead but went nowhere today and no high finishes but a lot of small cashes

Had 18/20 cash in the PRO $20 in $42 out

18/20 also cashed in the WGC QA $5 in and $14.75 out

English really killed my WGC Birdie LU and I kept him even after Bolton put the fade on him; when am I gonna learn? lol but still 10/20 cashed $60 in and $54 out

Morikawa hit it great last week at Riviera but putting was off for long stretches and now he comes to a Nicklaus (second shot) course – he was a must play for me; I didn’t go 100% but well over 50%. He has been slowly rounding back into form after a bit of flat stretch after winning the PGA – I few like we talked about that a few weeks ago on the forum but maybe it wasn’t you.
