I love Snake draft when you have to draft everyone!

I havnt gotten to that point yet, but while I am evaluating the thought of playing the 12 man snake was on my mind. When did you draft? what surprised you, were you 100% prepared?

I agree Tiger didnt look all there in the Sunday interview. dont know if meds or self medicating. He knows back surgery, so he was still dealing with that. Unfortunately for him he has a bad history concerning these things…not gonna judge him just yet. It appears his PGA career is over. Hope he makes it back for some Senior Tour event in the future.

That is what they thought after Ben Hogans car crash. He was in the hospital for 59 days and had a double-fracture of the pelvis, a fractured collar bone, a left ankle fracture, a chipped rib, and near-fatal blood clots. His doctors said he might never walk again, let alone play golf competitively. Hogan was 36 and Tiger is 45 so there is that. A year and a half after his accident Mr. Hogan won his 2nd US Open title. In 1953 he won the Masters, U.S. Open, and British Open in the same year. He won 11 times post accident. No I dont think Tiger will be similar but I do not count him out for winning again on tour.

That would be epic….It would be great for golf. The narratives are already in my mind.
    but, deep sigh

Tiger was stoned af in that interview with Nantz it was blatant.

It was really, really bad. Tiger’s answers didn’t really make sense and the ending was awkward. And he didn’t hide the fact that he didn’t want to be doing the interview at all. It was very unlike Tiger.

I did two – one I drafted near the end, the other in the middle. Since I am a EURO guy I know all the names except a handful.

I drafted 1st and got DJ that was cool, but getting Min Woo Lee with my last pick wasn’t very cool.

Is there any SG data for the PRO tournament from last year?

  • draarona

Quick question for you guys…. Im in a big survivor pool and have done all the research for WGC and just saw that we also need a pick for the PRO… ugh. have done zero research for that tourney. Who is your fav to win. Just need one golfer. Thank you!!

  • monarch

Concession club. Anyone else putting an emphasis on proximity with wedges? Feels like forced layups especially on par fives and short par fours.

I would go Grillo for sure. Great course fit and history.

None officially from PGA Tour as there was no ShotLink (known on here as shot tracker) equipment on site.

I’m largely misgruntled by DK’s PRO offerings. Feels like I wasted a bunch of time on creating the lineups….all dressed up and no where to go.

Oh well. I best get my WGC homework done on time.

Thanks Bif. I was afraid that’s the answer I was gonna get.

  • Herf

I am currently looking for the best data that would portray who scores the best in these kind of conditions on Saturday/Sunday.

If you really want to deep dive into the PRO, you could go on the PGA Tour site and look at last years results and click on each player – they should have GIR, putts per hole plus you can go through each player’s rounds and see if they hit fairway, green, etc…

I’m not doing that but that data was there a couple days ago when I was looking at the field for this year.

  • Money0227

I was good playing an overlooked English at $7,500, but his projected ownership jumped from Monday to Tuesday and he’s now projected top 10 highest owned. That’s a pretty easy pass for me.

Lol majority of the comments are accusing Tiger on pain pills.

The PRO is like an LFN Greatest Hits CD…

    Barracuda Brice

    Barnrat

    Matt Wallace

    and of course

Just did a $20 snake draft on DK and got DJ with the 4th pick. Thanks!

Greens are pretty sloped and have lots of run off areas so they better be able to control the spin on wedges or else they will be running off into collection areas. Based on that, I think scrambling and around the green are equally important as a player hitting roughly 70% GIR still means 5-6 missed greens.

Impressive because three people would have not been on autodraft.

    I was shocked. It went:

    Hatton
    Xander
    Rahm
    DJ

The OAD jinx continued last week with none other than Rory McIlroy as the latest victim. For those counting, it’s now 1/6 cuts to begin the year, with all players 25-1 or better to win a priori. For this week, my jinxes will be Rahm and Pieters.

I doubt I will play PRO at all, maybe a showdown or two for the achievement. For WGC I like DeChambeau to win and Stone as a sleeper. I can’t fade BDC on a course where length is paramount. Guess I’m fading most everyone other than the 6 I picked.

Good call on the snake drafts. I will have to try a 12 man tonight after everyone goes to bed – too busy during the day with work and virtual learning supervision.

  • lfn1992

In 12 person Snake it seems like many people are reaching down to snag Kisner, what exactly am I missing here as I gleefully draft Lee Westwood and RCB

Good thing the person with the No. 1 pick was a close family member of Ty Hatton, apparently!
