It’s actually much harder to be the No. 1 overall because you’re stuck with a Min Woo Lee type at the end. You haven’t lived until you have to make the Hobbsean choice of Yuki Inamori, Trevor Simsby or Min Woo Lee (of those three, definitely take Min Woo Lee)

  • lfn1992

There’s a case for dropping down to a Koepka if you’re drafting somewhat high in the first round, but if you can get Rahmbo or DJ, you gotta do it. And no lower than Koepka.

Good thing the person with the No. 1 pick was a close family member of Ty Hatton, apparently!

Nah, you take Hatton because you want the winner on your team.

For WGC I like DeChambeau to win and Stone as a sleeper. I can’t fade BDC on a course where length is paramount

    Is it though ?

Typical Nicklaus course like a lot of his later designs from what I’m seeing – meaning that he usually likes to put some kind of trouble on one side of the fairway, playing the safer side doesn’t always yield an easier approach – overall a 2nd shot golf course with greater premium on accuracy of approach over the tee shot (as long as you aren’t really wild off the tee).

I’m not sure you can blindly bomb it all over this place so I’m placing a bit more emphasis on approach shots and guys with good short games

Some tour players are predicting winning scores between -10 and -13 so not a total birdie fest but the guys near the top of the leaderboard should be making 4+ birdies a day.

    Tourney matchup at Will Hill:

    Im -115 over Matsuyama

Seems like a good play given how trash Deki has been

Not a bomber course IMO. These guys last week were landing it ten yards off the fairway and letting it run 50-75 yards. Those same shots this week will not produce similar results.

    WGC

    Fade: DJ

I would absolutely make a prop bet wager on “who finishes higher, Min Woo Lee, Yuki Inamori, Trevor Simsby or tie”

No real clue, but that was my quick impression. Based on my results this year I would go completely opposite of my picks!

    Fade: Rory McIlroy

My last pick was Ritchie. Never heard of him…

    Winner: Tommy Fleetwood
    Fade: Bryson
    Sleepers: RCB, EVR, Herbert

Just making my two cores now. I don’t think Marc Leishman wins this thing. But I do think 7,400 on DK is a bargain.

JC Ritchie, a big bomber on the South Africa Tour (sometimes plays in crossover EURO events in South Africa). If it’s a bombers course he might be a good pick – if it’s an approach course, well….

Min Woo Lee and JC Ritchie in my mind are about the same. Min Woo Lee gets a slight nod because he’s an Aussie, but they’re about the same

Also, no need to consider them in 4 day!

    Winner: Im over Hatton
    Fade: Bison/DJ
Sleeper: went balanced this week but I like McIntyre

On MKF, PRO full tourney points are down to 96.5 Poulter/94.5 KHLee/92.5 An. Overs seem good, right? Also the other trio is 98.5 Grillo/96.5
Wallace and Pieters. Considering that as well…

Actually I just checked the weather for the first time in a few days and the wind has picked up significantly (15-20 weekend), hence line drops I guess. Starting to reconsider there, only playing the happy meal in DFS because no shot tracker is tilting after getting spoiled.

Edit: also like the over 100.5 JT/Xander over 98.5 Webb for WGC. No cut, perfect weather.

Went to the PGA Tour website Leaderboard and see that they have a 3D button on the far right of each player, which is nice, but the downside is it replaces the color coding button. I’ll be lost if I can’t color my players.

That sucks. The the 3D button is where it always was as well. I will be lost as well without the coloring.

I stayed away from the PRO full tourney overs (dealing with a cut), but I played the overs for round 1. The wind looks bad, but it’s always windy for this tournament. It’s seems to be a birdie fest no matter what. I went light (overs on both 3/3’s for fps and took a flyer with a 5/5).

I have unders on the Workday full tourney (but that’s when they first came out…DJ at 110.5, Rahm at 108.5, Xander at 106.5, etc). Will play it round by round from here on out (taking in early action before placing a few bets on later guys). Keep tabs on the weekend wind…the forecast is getting more dicey.
