I would imagine Wednesday, considering FD hates to put up games that aren’t the big conferences…

They will likely run a craptastic 2 game slate on Tuesday I would assume since there are 2 ACC games available. DK is running a 3 game set that includes tonights Zags game with those 2 ACC games. I didn’t see any GPP’s up for that though.

Wednesday then includes 4 games between 12 and 5:30 start times. Then 10 games at 7 o’clock or later. I would probably suggest a smaller 4 game afternoon set and then larger contests for the 10 game, 7 o’clock and later set.

Likely similar situations on Thursday and Friday with afternoon and night sets.

    great planning with their qualifers

there were only ~30 days from the launch of the qualifers till the end of the ncaa tournament

zero excuses on not being able to plan ahead to make sure they had enough cbb slates for the qualifers

How many qualifiers do they have left for Survive the Madness? And how do you find this information?

This is my first year playing CBB, so it will be my first March Madness. It seems kind of weird on FD that while most of the players/teams will be “old friends” (and old enemies) who we have played throughout the season, there obviously will be a significant amount of players and teams who have yet to appear on the FD slate. Also, will there be NIT slates to fulfill the itch Monday through Wednesday?

Good point about Nit. Hope they give us NIT slate during week

Contests for Tuesday and Wednesday are available in the lobby. Tournaments should be up in a few hours. We will continue to run Survive the Madness satellites throughout the week.

Also for a heads up, Thursday-Sunday games won’t be up until the morning of the contests (hopefully by 8 am ET each day) as many of the matchups are dependent on the previous day’s games.

Will NIT games be offered as well next week?

The DK March Mania was kind of thrown together from the beginning. Great idea and concept, but poor advanced planning. In the beginning they were running 3-4 qualifiers daily, which was complete overkill. But then they scaled back to 1-2 per day which left them short. My guess is they plan to run a large qualifier on Thursday and/or Friday that awards multiple seats. That would be a good idea I think. But the NBA qualifiers for a CBB contest seem kind of stupid to me. That being said, I have 5 entries in the NBA qualifier tonight, so I am still roped into trying to qualify.

I am with you on the NBA Q for the MM. I don’t necessarily like it but it still has me putting entries in, which I have far less confidence in than I would if they were CBB Q’s.

  • hpharri1994

I’d like to hear from a DK rep on the rest of the schedule for the MM bracket even. There are 17 spots to be filled and we have 5 days of games left, including Sunday which will be a pretty small slate. What is the plan here? Can we run some Qs that give tickets to 1st and 2nd each day as opposed to just running more $2 NBA contests? I know they said at one point they’d release a qualifier schedule but that has obviously not happened. It would be nice to at least see a schedule for the rest of this week.

Completely agree. Didn’t even realize they had an nba Q for this until I read the post. One thing that has been completely lacking is the size of the Q’s keep changing. If you are going to run a $20 Q, the number of entries should remain the same for each Q, not have 250,200, and now the nba Q has 147. Also I notice they have Q’s for a $300 March Mania contest, any info available on this?

My guess is that may be the large multi-ticket contest I would was alluding to them possibly running. But not sure… they don’t seem to be very good at giving information.

Or maybe it’s a big contest they plan to run during the NCAA Tournament…

It would be nice to see a schedule the rest of the way so I can allocate and decide how to chase the seats.

  • bbjay20

Any idea how many tickets are still available? Seems like there should be a good number left to dole out over the next week.

Will there be any special March madness contests that haven’t been discussed? I love the bracket idea, and think something could be put together on a smaller scale than the big money ones.

    I think 16 or 17.

I’m sure they will run some decent sized contests during the tournament. Fanduel has the Survive the Madness obviously as well, which is a GREAT format.

  • hpharri1994

Looks like the $300 Blue Chip March Mania contest will run on March 26th which is the first day of the Sweet 16. I’m guessing it is just a standard GPP that anyone can buy in. I’d also assume it will be a two day contest for both days of the Sweet 16 games. I’ve not seen anything on size or payout structure.

Tentatively we will include NIT games for non NCAA tournament days (Mon-Wed). We just need to confirm that we will receive a full stats feed for these games. At the very least we will feature major conference teams playing against each other in the NIT.

Probably not, although we may run another “second chance” like we did last year on Friday based on Thursday’s success. We will continue to run satellites at lower entry fees all week for those interested in winning a $100 ticket.

I think DFS for the NIT games is a complete crapshoot. Knowing which teams will show up to compete and which ones won’t is really hard to figure.

But you could say that about any crappy regular season game involving bad teams. At least the NIT teams have something to play for.

I guess you could. It just seems to go to a whole other level when it’s the NIT, CBI, etc. I think that’s part of the reason you see some big schools just opt to turn down the invite and call it a season.
