BANKROLL FORUM

    Hi all,

You might get this question a lot around these parts, so please bear with me if you’ve heard this before.

I’m a (very) casual DFS player, having dabbled mostly in Fanduel with a little bit of random success here and there. I played NASCAR yesterday on a whim, turning $25 into $140 by coming in 4th place in a GPP.

I don’t play DK that often (read=almost never) and don’t want to cash out, so I figured I would play my winnings and see if I can modestly increase them.

So what should I do? I think the obvious play is NBA, maybe some cash games and a few GPPs. But let me know what you would do if you were me.

    Thanks!

play $2-3 a day at whatever you think you would do best at. $140 can go fast if you dont have bankroll management and hit a cold streak.

Save it and play nascar if that is the sport you follow the most. Nba is hard to win unless you follow very close this time of year with players hurt, resting, anything you can imagine. Sometimes you don’t find out until 5 minutes from lock.

If you’re looking to get the most out of your money, I’d co-sign the other posts.

DK has a bigger variety of games at lower price points, so you can play a few bucks every night, have fun and try to figure out some other sports…then adjust your game selection and amount invested based on results.
And if things don’t go well…you can have fun, losing someone else’s money for a bit, and then still cash out your initial investment if you want, or move some money over FD. Or at least that’s what I’d do, because I’d want to try to use that to grow a bankroll.

If you predicted there would 5 multi car crashes and picked random guys you figured are protected by angels then congrats with the win. Stick to nascar and you will win millions. If that wasnt your strategy then you just got really really lucky. Sorry for cynical tone but it wont be that easy to repeat…

Don’t waste it on the NBA. NHL or Nascar are better options at this point.

Save it for baseball season. NBA is impossible this time of year. To many sharks dialed in. Do some NASCAR on the weekends then start our square one along with everyone else for baseball.

I’m drastically reducing my NBA exposure. Been getting smoked lately.
