yep, I’m on the cheeseisgood bandwagon as well. Whenever he posts a article it’s must read imo.

  • jessedio

Cheesisgood is the man. He wrote a gpp article last year on incentives and all his picks won the big tournaments for that day (NYY stack).

Cheeseisgood is the McJester of MLB despite was Ryazan says…

Not necessarily in terms of style, but just in dominance. Pretty tough to win a million dollars twice in MLB tournaments.

I am going to shake it up a bit… nah it’s cheeseisgood. Beep and DraftCheat are also gpp beasts in every sport really.

Cheese , Beep, DC, top 3

Feel like i will be in the top 3 at the end of the season

I just want to take down another MLB gpp this year. For sure I thought I would take down one in nfl and NBA but then I realized I suck! Can’t wait for MLB!

The fact that nobody has mentioned lovesbases is criminal. Nobody in the industry is as good at Daily Fantasy Baseball as he is in any format. I played the highest stakes GPP’s all summer last year and it didn’t take me long to figure out that he is the best. Also, this thread should also mention Saahil Sud and Rayofhope, who are also exceptional high stakes GPP players!

If ever there was a thread begging for a response from Ryazan, this would be it. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I miss him….

  • Ibleedblue1

I player smaller stakes but I always remember seeing motownmauler near the top of the leaderboards.

Loves is one of the last people you want to see in a H2H and is absolutely one of the best MLB DFS players around.

cheeseisgood strikes at the right time – million here, million there. LOVE that strategy. It’s like when I beat up SaahilSud for about 10K over a period of 2 weeks last year. He beat me more times than I beat him, but I beat him in the $53000 H2Hs when it counted.

I do think that people like me, bcalicore/theclone/dkimbell, those kind of guys who are usually in the top 10 of the Monster several times a week, are the best MLB DFS players. Cheeseisgood certainly has more money than any of us, but that is more from a “strikes at the right time” strategy, not overall daily/weekly contest dominance.

I feel like this is everyone’s strategy and if not it should be. Win the largest tournaments possible multiple times. Having the skill to do that is the hard part, and cheeseisgood clearly has that skill.

I mean i say it ironically….million here million there….he won 2 million in 2 contests – discussion over.

    At least money-wise speaking.

I don’t think he qualifies too much in the discussion when it comes to guys who play high stakes every day.

Forget me, I mean guys like bcalicore, saahilsud, theclone, ehafner, lovesbases, ect.

I met cheeseisgood a couple of times and he’s a really cool nice guy, very smart too….but I don’t see him much in the tourney’s i used to play in MLB last year on Fanduel. That’s why i think he only strikes when it counts. IF you are telling me that he only plays in the real high stakes tourneys where 1st makes $1,000,000, it almost seems like he waits for those to play, and he wins. He is a baseball lover who knows it perfectly, but doesn’t take the daily risk. That’s okay though…..you win a million the first time around, of course you don’t wanna take the risk of losing it (like i did HAHA)

  • jjwd

Ryanazan is classic. Congrats on those $53000 h2h victories

  • deejones49

Ryazan will not get out of bed for less than 5k

  • btwice80

I actually agree with Ryazan, in that if you’re trying to determine the best GPP player, the amount of money won from first place finishes in two individual tournaments is not nearly as relevant as the frequency of being at or near the top of everyday GPPs. But it’s really not possible anyway because no one keeps track of total entries and losses.
