I saw some people discussing this on Twitter last week, and it made me think. Historically it would be hard to argue against Mcjester but there a lot of great GPP players in NBA. Who would get your vote?

It has been a while since that happened. Don’t understand how people are still talking about it.

Yeah….I am sure you are right. I’m confident the sites have a good handle on this now. You know….because they were so forthcoming in their attempts to address or get ahead of the issue.

The $3 guy obviously isn’t good at DFS or doesn’t take it seriously enough to beat Saahil. Excuses are for mediocre individuals and I’m sure you’re not mediocre.

You’re correct, I’m not mediocre. And I assume all risk when I enter a contest with one or two LUs vs the 200 from ragingphilip, mazwa and the gang.

I also have gone the 50+ LU route and lost my shirt so I’m in no way saying it’s a guaranteed win! :)

I’m not sure why people are offended by the observation that large bankrolls give players an edge over those who are playing “dollar to dollar”. It’s no different than saying a kid from an affluent family has an edge over a kid who grows up in poverty. The kid in poverty can absolutely excel in life and outperform the rich one, but the odds aren’t in his favor along the way.

If me and SaahilSud each started fresh today with a $1K bankroll, after playing for a year he would have a lot larger bankroll than me. I wouldn’t then look at his bankroll and say ‘that bankroll is why he has an advantage’. He had an advantage to begin with, his advantage is that he is better at DFS than me. Having a large bankroll is a product of being a good player. Being a good player is not a product of having a large bankroll. Give 95% of people a large bankroll and it will shrink. It is not like one guy just randomly starts with a bunch of money, and I start with less so it is not fair. That guy with all the entries either won that money, or earned that money, or maxed out some credit cards. If he is’t great at DFS he will lose that money.
If you choose to play in a contest that allows 200 entries, then you can’t really complain when people choose to enter it 200 times. If you view it as a disadvantage playing against a guy with 200 entries, then don’t play in those contests. There are plenty of single and 3-entry max contests out there where bankroll doesn’t play a part. But if people lose in those they don’t have an excuse.

Ever have those moments where someone moves the argument, causing you so much confusion that you forget what argument you are for or against or if you’ve been drinking heavily and didn’t realize it?

Bahahahaha. McJester? Maybe if your talking 2011. This is 2016. I didn’t even know that guy was alive anymore. We all know the obvious pick is CONDIA baby.

McJester won the MegaSlam for 100k.

I’m pretty good. He’s several degrees better.

MCjester is a great NBA gpp player however IMO … And this is coming from a ggp player only. There are four guys that are above the rest right now. They have the routine, strategy and knowledge down currently. That’s Ehefner, Assani, Pianoclub, under jones.
all time gpp NBA award goes to Condia and Max… Dudes are legends. Sorry to see Condia retire my guess is Assani fills his spot.

  • rotohuff

    meansy53 deserves a mention, at least on DK’s. I don’t play FanDuel a lot.

Mc Jester is a beast!!! Hands down the best!!

Please never tell anyone you think he is the next Condia in NBA, it is not a compliment.

Oh man…YES for Mr. DraftCheat as well! Numerous sick nights in GPP’s! He’d be my # 3!

JeffElJefe shouldn’t be selling himself short. On FD I always see this guy ahead of me in GPPs. (okay maybe that’s not exactly a ringing endorsement, but he’s really good).

And yes, McJester is the GOAT

who’s the best cash game player? just wondering

imo it takes just as much skill making a singular lineup that you think every single player will hit your projections than making multiple lineups and predicting a sleeper correctly

For DK I regularly see these guys on top of the leaderboards: pianoclub, ganondorf, SaahilSud, TheClone, youdacao, ragingphilip, mazwa, bcalicore, capri, McLuvin, ehafner

Does this scenario assume that at the beginning of the stated year you would both be given the opportunity to do an end-around on the sites TOS regarding scripts while everyone else is forced to play within the rules?

Being great at picking LU’s means you’ll win, more often than not. Given preferential treatment means you can dominate, using unfair advantages (that are not DFS skill related) to your advantage.

best guys/groups in no particular order:
    -chipotleaddict/papagates
    -empiremaker2
    -me/makeitrain/aboveandbeyond
    -aejones/kunu88
    -makisupa

    honorable mention: youdacao, hoop/3rdandschlong.

if I didnt list someone, let’s just say I would be pretty comfortable sitting his games and thinking I could beat rake during the normal parts of the season (less edge now with all the injuries/rest and value every night), at least on DK. too easy to make close to the nuts on FD

You are a known colluder and should be thankful that the sites are willing to bury their head in the sand and let you play so they can have their rake rather than enforcing their TOS. Those days are soon coming to an end

Notice no one else mentioned by others comes on here and say they are the best, you listed yourself and your syndicate team, your arrogance is disgusting.

Not to mention i am a nobody and have a positive ROI (beat the rake) against your syndicate with enough games to call it a meaningful sample.

f the tables were turned and it was the pros submitting a single entry and a bunch of fish submitting hundreds than most pros ROI would skyrocket.

As a % , yes this is true.

Since we live in a world where dollars have utility… then it’s a pretty easy call to give up the ROI. if you’re actually capable of finding the top lineup within 25 to 200+ permutations, you’ll simply get paid faster.

We’ll never know who the “best” GPP player is in a true sense….but I have a feeling it’s probably one of the names already mentioned in this thread.
