So I originally put in a withdrawal request on the 28th of January. I then got an email from them on February 2nd that I needed to submit a W9 and that my withdrawal wouldn’t be processed until I did. I emailed them the W9 on the 5th (and received a 1099 in the mail from them two days ago).

My withdrawal still hasn’t gone through. I emailed them on the 12th, and contacted them through the website yesterday, both with no response… Anyone else having issues with them?

3/10/16 UPDATE: DraftKings strikes a deal to cover all unpaid FantasyHub balances and liabilities. Read more from David Purdum on ESPN!

DraftKings Co-Founder Matt Kalish’s Statement: “This is not an acquisition deal or an asset purchase deal. This is a very simple deal, where we’re assigning two liabilities from [FantasyHub] over to DraftKings in an effort to do the right thing for their player base, which has a nearly 80 percent overlap with our own. We never want to see our player base go through an experience that’s negative like this. What happened here was reprehensible. It is a breach of trust for these players and we share a lot of these players with them. We just didn’t think it was the right thing to do to sit on the sideline and let that happen. We had the ability to step up and do something.”

The player is already trying to beat the rake and other users, but now you’re telling me that they should’ve already known tht they were facing the gamble that their funds could possibly be lost if the site fails nd they don’t withdraw in time?

Unfortunately, if you deposit at a smaller site (or even DK and FD), you should consider yourself an investor just as much as a player. Knowing when to get your money out is becoming a part of the ROI equation now.

Why are the FH incentives still available on here? Every trace of FH should be removed from rotogrinders.

Lol, this is just getting silly now.

I try to couch my words with things like “likely” as in “it’s likely our money is gone” and suddenly I’m a FH shill. Amazing.

You didn’t couch your words about saying people should not say anything about the situation or be upset and post that here. I find it amazing that you want paying customers and people with thousands of dollars in limbo to wait for all the information to come out when we have seen information never come out even after things are settled.

The referral links are removed. Incentives content remained up because some people had subscriptions to the FH content, and wanted access to it.
Only people with FH subscriptions can access it. Now that FH has announced they are suspending operations this may change.

Are you insinuating that RG should make this whole?

If you’re not holding a pitchfork and disputing your credit card charges then you’re a shill. I’ve been called dumbass, shill, and whatever else because I still have hope that things might be saved.

I understand people are upset. I’m complaining about the THROW THE ASSHOLES IN JAIL comments, which can easily escalate into something worse (as we saw with FU).

But the site is no longer up. So why have incentives up when you can’t use them on the FH?

I know RG has nothing to do with what’s going on at FH, but it’s a bad look to have anything related to that site on here IMO.

If you aren’t going to bother to read my posts please don’t try to tell me what I want. I understand people are upset. I’m complaining about the THROW THE ASSHOLES IN JAIL comments, which can easily escalate into something worse (as we saw with FU). My previous comments about waiting before complaining were in reference to the Friday announcement.

But this is my fault for expecting comprehension on a message board. I’ll just let the moderators do their job as they see fit, and I’ll stop trying to make sense.

Then that’s all fine and good, I do not think those comments are necessary or helpful either. Perhaps the problem was that you had replied to me directly when I wasn’t the one making the comments you had a problem with.

I still disagree about waiting to be mad and post about it until the Friday announcement though, no need to wait as nothing was going to come out and nothing did, just more jargon and nothing about charity funds or player funds, as expected.

  • tvsfrink

Well darn, I edited my post to be less pissy but you went and quoted it before I finished. Oh well.

Mentioned I would update my post when I heard back. Add another charity to the list. Spoke to JDRF: Potomac and Chesapeake chapter, they never heard of FH. They put me on hold while they called the main office to see if FH paid the main JDRF office, surprisingly they never heard of FH either.

That’s brutal. Same with my charity. Wonder how many other charities have the same case.. What a joke this is turning out to be.

  • stalkers1770

This has to be a crime isnt it? They defrauded charities. They pushed people to make big deposits promising free entries and huge bonuses, when they knew there was no way people were getting any of their money back. Im just surprised RG hasnt apologized to their member for partnering up with FantasyHub and contributing to this mess. Im sure most people would have never deposited their if RG and FH were not promoting the site every week with pinned threads and huge promos.

  • jeffreybuckets

I called the charity I always selected. And they were familiar with FantasyHub and have received contributions in the past. But to add they have not received anything recently and said they would follow-up with them but unfortunately from their side there is nothing legally they can do if anything is owed to them.

  • stoptheinsanity

Just read the “announcement” email. Since they said to wait for the announcement Friday. Then that turned out to be them telling us they weren’t going to tell us anything. I think it is perfectly fair to start speculating. So this is what I think. They don’t have the funds. And right now they are trying to find some sucker to get money from to cover them. Maybe I am wrong. But that seems to be what is going on to me. As for anybody thinking about responding to this to tell me to shut up and wait silently until (insert whatever the new phony date is). Don’t bother. I see straight through that amateur troll game.

  • BeltWieldindad

Call me a monday morning quarterback, but Im not surprised at all. FH has always been shady for me, dating all the way back to their little “beat (insert pro player here)” contests, where they claim you get paid for beating the pro. Little do you know the pro is max’d out on entries and you have to beat every single lineup they have in the contest (despite customer service claiming you only needed to beat 1). Combined with their asinine deposit bonuses, im surprised this didnt happen earlier.

Additionally, it’s absolutely sickening that they scammed the charity aspect of this site too.
Wonder how gen pop is for someone who robs charities…

  • kdriskell311

Add the East Tennessee Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association to the list. This is the response I got from the Executive Director of the East Tennessee chapter.

Wow is all I can say.

Waiting for a callback from the Gleason Foundation.

  • Myballzachertz

This is going to go mainstream soon it has to. DFS which is already under a microscope and being heavily scrutinized has a up and coming site who was seemingly trying something new honorable and innovative in the DFS world and then all of a sudden close up shop without notice and has allegedly stiffed charity in the process.

  • biggiesmails72

Yea they took my money, oh well.. but charity fraud seems like something you dont want involved in. I wonder what Pujols thinks about it, and Anthony Rizzo

  • pootnami

This is the response I just got from the Gleason Foundation. The name I gave was Fantasy Hub. Hey Stevo! Any other name I should give the donations director for the Gleason Foundation???

Yes, this is strange, but I’d do the same thing! I am not aware of any donations. When would they have been donated and do you know an amount? I could do a better search that way since it might be listed under a different name. I sure hope this isn’t a scam. Thanks for getting in touch.

I’m surprised charities are so willing to give out information regarding donors. I had assumed donors had confidentiality but I guess not.

  • serg270679

Wki definition…Charity fraud is the act of using deception to get money from people who believe they are making donations to charities. Often a person or a group of people will make material representations that they are a charity or part of a charity and ask prospective donors for contributions to the non-existent charity. Charity fraud not only includes fictitious charities but also deceitful business acts. Deceitful business acts include businesses accepting donations and not using the money for its intended purposes.

If charities in fact did not get the money, jail time becomes a very real possibility…Does someone know if St.Jude’s was getting our donations?

  • brutx15

Don’t post here often. But what is the deal with Fantasyhub? Is our money gone or can we get it back? I read the past 5 or so pages and can’t really find an answer other than they were possibly ripping off charities? That is so wrong, and low…

I also saw a couple posts about 1099. I filled out a 1099 and sent it to the IRS for an amended tax return. Should I have not done that?

I agree with some of those saying Rotogrinders needs to be at fault here as well. I was one of those players that was sent to Fantasyhub through this site.
