So I originally put in a withdrawal request on the 28th of January. I then got an email from them on February 2nd that I needed to submit a W9 and that my withdrawal wouldn’t be processed until I did. I emailed them the W9 on the 5th (and received a 1099 in the mail from them two days ago).

My withdrawal still hasn’t gone through. I emailed them on the 12th, and contacted them through the website yesterday, both with no response… Anyone else having issues with them?

3/10/16 UPDATE: DraftKings strikes a deal to cover all unpaid FantasyHub balances and liabilities. Read more from David Purdum on ESPN!

DraftKings Co-Founder Matt Kalish’s Statement: “This is not an acquisition deal or an asset purchase deal. This is a very simple deal, where we’re assigning two liabilities from [FantasyHub] over to DraftKings in an effort to do the right thing for their player base, which has a nearly 80 percent overlap with our own. We never want to see our player base go through an experience that’s negative like this. What happened here was reprehensible. It is a breach of trust for these players and we share a lot of these players with them. We just didn’t think it was the right thing to do to sit on the sideline and let that happen. We had the ability to step up and do something.”

But I am sick of week after week being told to calm down. I promise I will not calm down. I am sick of it. Stop it. It makes you look bad.

Yes, its a blank page with no links or content. Just a message saying incentives are not offered for FH.

Update- The logo is now removed.

oh okay..i didnt actually click on it..lol.. anyways just a warning i have heard…that fan picks may be the next one, because i have been told by a couple people that they withdrew money and fanpicks is giving them every excuse as to why they havnt received it..

I could be wrong but here’s what I am imagining is happening with the 3rd party negotiations; Let’s stall as long as we can and see if this all starts to blow over. If it goes away on it’s own then we don’t have to bother with paying back the players monies because if it just silently goes away then the threat to the industry and etc., goes away with it.
I’ve noticed that the posts in this forum are becoming less regular. I really think everyone who had money stolen from them needs to refocus their efforts at getting the word out there and making a fuss on every possible platform. We need to be heard. After all the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Most of all there needs to be major consequences for this fraud, especially for the FantasyHub team first and foremost.

I’ve came to the conclusion that all the guys running the site are scumbags and I would be willing to forfeit my balance to see them do time behind bars, I think it would be more satisfying.

    There’s 0 chance this blows over @wosleep.

The third parties are real and the limited information I’m getting is positive.

Here’s how a similar situation played out with a site named FantasyUp recently – iTeam network bailed out FantasyUp’s player accounts.

That said, I’m not going to discourage you or anyone from keeping the pressure on. I’ve been trying to do the same in my communication with Hub. These guys working on this deal should have the highest sense of urgency. The longer this drags out the worse it gets.

I’m still following this closely, and check in every day. I will do whatever is needed to be done. I’m sure the posts have just slowed because what has needed to be said has been said. No sense in repeating the obvious. We are all eagerly waiting a resolution.

    @cal

Good to hear that there is positive information, in an otherwise completely negative situation.

Maybe we should retain the same legal counsel Steve P. has.

Dewey, Cheatum & Howe might cut us a deal on fees if they handle both sides.

The Irony is that OUR player funds are probably paying for the ANDREW BUSA , CHARLIE BUSA , JIM PLAPPERT and STEVEN PLAPPERT attorneys right now.

As in Draftster is the third party coming to FH’s rescue?

Edited: Just now seeing Draftsters checks bouncing in other thread. Hoping they aren’t the 3rd party FH is paring with!

Here is what I have done so far with a pretty reasonable amount on Hub

    1. Started a dispute with my Credit Card, will depend on final action to decide what to do here. Most likely a longshot, but I did start the process with them if things go south.

    2. Contacted state and federal officials about possible charity scams. Needless to say this is a hot-button topic for them and with all the publicly personal information available of those linked to hub, they have all the info they need to pursue a case if things go south. Again, waiting on final outcome to report back for them to pursue action if needed, NYS/Feds do not take kindly to those that steal/misappropriate funds designated for charity.

    3. Talked to my tax guy, looks like I would be able to write off the stolen money on next years taxes, but of course would rather see the situation made whole.

Really hope someone can make the situation whole, I would easily play on any site that makes the situation correct.

If you are local to these guys (Louisville, Austin) please consider looking them up, nothing will motivate them into making a deal quite like an upset customer showing up at their front door.

I’m not sure DFS needs anymore bad press but this is a textbook story for local tv investigative reporters.

Also, most young guys that have the foresite to be entrepreneurs are often (not always) children of entrepreneurs who often (not always) are wealthy (or at least wealthy enough to make this problem go away). Turn the pressure up and make them run to daddy.

I’ve been doing a ton of research… anyone else have answers to these questions?

Did FSTA check to see if FantasyHUB was in compliance with their charter?
Are they (FSTA) willing to release the results of any audits they did?
What happened to the 1M round of funding from Fundable?
When did charities stop being paid?
What were the terms of Rotogrinders’ partnership with FantasyHUB?
Is Chuck Schnatter (brother of the Papa John’s guy and a multimillionaire) actually a board member of FantasyHub? (he is listed as such in one of their investment pages)
How involved were other employees besides the big 3 in decisionmaking (Steven Hornung has something to do with their Paypal, at least)?
At which point did FantasyHUB start soliciting new deposits to try and pay pending withdraws (when did the promos become scams)?

You know most of those answers already. The FSTA has said/done nothing through this entire situation and did nothing to protect the players’ interests from the beginning with Fantasy Hub.

Lost money there as well, but I definitely do not agree with this. Some angry customer showing up at the door and frightening possibly spouses and kids, is just stupid.
What do you imagine saying to Steven, when you show at his door? “Dude pay me my money, or else?”. What if his wife and kids are there?

Just please calm down. We are all upset, and I wouldn’t shed a tear, if jail time is given these guys. But – if anyone showed up to scare me or my wife and little girl, you better believe it now is about a whole lot more than you loosing some money.

These guys were still taking deposits after it was was clear that they could not payout current customers.

They ran an impossible bonus promotion only weeks before they finally closed the site.

These douchebags acted as agents for charities, accepted donations and allegedly did not give some/most of the donated money to charity.

Fantasy Hub has not promised everyone their money back, nor have they even commented on the charitable contributions.

If they were worried about what their wife and kids might think, they should have handled this situation much differently. Instead they are likely negotiating with whomever is willing to make players whole as to what interest rate they should have to pay the money back at and/or what their “platform” is worth.

Smizzle has more money in his right front pocket than Fantasy Hub likely owes players, this isn’t about money. This is about shit head site owners that think they can operate in this space as they please with little to no recourse. When DFS site operators act shady there needs to be real consequences.

For those worried about FanPicks, I reached out to them and a representative quickly called me to discuss. I can’t tell you for sure there are no issues, but I believe there really are issues with PayPal. Also told me they are trying to get an ACH backup running ASAP.

At the end of the day, people should have access to their money no matter what, but I don’t think there is anything nefarious is going on. Probably should have had Plan B in place already. The bottom line: This is much more responsive than I would expect from a company that is trying to hide something…

Anyway, take that for what it’s worth.

Looks like FanPicks taking a page straight out of Plappert’s book.
