not sure, but I would guess she must have cleared it w/the coach and team. that doesn’t mean there is not a price to pay for leaving your teammates hanging, even if they won the game. It’s a team sport after all. It’s a business. She is a professional. There are no excuses. I am sure she is not the first player to graduate. She might be the first to skip a game to go to the graduation ceremony.

BTW The Liberty are a disgrace tonight. Zahui already mentally on her way to Europe. Team showing no heart at all, zero, zilch.

She’s almost 36 years old and with the game being out of hand so quickly they probably just decided to rest her and let the younger players get minutes. But no injury or ejection or anything like that.
