I’m sure we’ll get a reference every time a player hits a long drive.

“Absolutely crushed down the fairway by Schauffele. Reminds me of one of Bryson DeChambeau’s drives from last week”.

This is going to be a tough week. I think the strength of field is back up again. I see a lot of names on the entry list of guys who did well here. I cant wait for salaries

What was the reason behind why they’re playing 2 tournaments at the same course?

What was the reason behind why they’re playing 2 tournaments at the same course?

John Deere Classic pulled out for state limits on gatherings and the Tour was left scrambling to fill it or have an open week and since most Tour courses usually need a couple months or more of notice to plan out course setup and maintenance and conditioning, once Workday stepped up as a sponsor, it was easier to use Muirfield Village two weeks in a row and keep the players inside a tighter bubble. I know it’s gonna be totally weird watching almost the same tourney 2 weeks in a row.

All along I have been hoping that the set up would be a bit different – like for the first event, you’d have narrower fairways (stop cutting parts of them a month ago so it’s tighter) and keep the rough at one height say 3 inches for this event then for the following event widen the fairways a bit but let the rough keep growing so it’s like 4 inches and more penal. Like please make the conditions a little different to peak our interest !!

I have not heard anything if/how the two event set ups will be so I was just speculating on a couple things they could do but I’m guessing it is exactly the same as we have heard nothing on this yet.

This is going to be insane on week 2 especially if it’s the same players, which I imagine it will be since most of them are there already. It’d be hilarious if the winner from week 1 doesn’t make the cut on week 2.

It could really well happen! If Wolff played -1 on round 2 instead of round 4, he wouldn’t have made the cut. It’s all about timing!

I’m ready for salaries! I don’t know if I can play Snedeker again, but he’s always a top 5 threat!

I think Tiger is playing next week so that will give the tournament more appeal even though it’s on the same course two weeks in a row

I know they plan on using different tee boxes and pin locations this week and next week to try and protect the course from getting too beat up. This week is supposed to play about 150-200 yards longer with lower rough and slower greens (I heard a target of 11 on the stimpmeter this week with 13-13.5 targeted next week.)

It will definitely be interesting to see the differences between the two weeks with many guys playing both.

I don’t know much about golf course maintenance, but is it pretty easy to cut further into the rough to make fairways wider in just one week? I’m thinking about the health of the grass that used to be 3-4 inches, and is now like .5-1 inch. Seems like it might burn up or at least not have the same blade width and density of the fairway grass that has had time to live like that.

It’s a great idea, though. Would love to see the course change quite a bit between events.

Who is doing the Beat the Forum this week? I think I had the John Deere Classic and now its out. Just wondering if we are still doing that.

How long does it take to cure the golfing yips?

  • emnj69

I am a golf novice and could not have done worse last week. I had 10 line ups and all 10 had two guys missing the cut and they were names I thought were safe ones-the week before I actually had won on every team but this weekend I gave all of my money back and then some

As Ace from casino said in the end the house takes it all

I think its time to start factoring in the guys who are playing four and five weeks in a row like Viktor Hovland, Hubbard etc. Will be interesting to see their prices vs comparable players talent wise coming off some rest.

  • ValuableTrader

After watching Bryson’s post-win interview…wow this guy is special. Dominating week. With him, Rory, Brooks, JT, Tiger, Rahm…we are spoiled. Looking forward to the majors this year, gonna be ultra competitive.

Anyways…for this week. Gimme some Cantlay!

I’m very interested in the same thing. Hubbard looked like his back was hurting and I wonder if that will carry into this week, hopefully he doesn’t come out and shoot a bad 1st round score and then WD.

Gooch WD last week means he will probably be low owned and he’s had time to get his shit together.

Off the bat obviously I like Cantlay, Brooks, Thomas, and Hideki.

After having a fairly decent showing last week I’m ready for another week of stress and missed cuts.

interested to see if they will price Cantlay up with Brooks/JT or if he’ll be a notch below. If he’s 500-1000 less than those 2 he should be the highest owned player of the week

That’s good as they can’t have 157 guys driving it into the same landing areas for 2 weeks so they will have to mix it up some

Do we know for sure if Hubbard’s back was hurting or is that just your personal observation?

It was noticed by the commentators on Sunday when he was in the middle of his near implosion. So I guess there is no data to suggest his back is hurt, just from what was observed.
