I managed to get my (for now) best lineup into a smaller contest but not into the $25 $500k one – f’in DK.
    H Eng (-6)
    B Todd (-2)
    S Kim (-5)
    K Kis (-1)
    HV3 (-8)
    H Nor(-3)

I bet there’s quite a few that have at least two of them. I definitely have a good bit of HV3, and I do play Hoge a lot, but he didn’t make my cut this week. Sloan only makes my pool maybe 1 out of 8 weeks that he’s playing.

It was an attempt at humor on my part.

But to your point, there are Varner/Hoge stacks at the top of the Playoff Preview. Have not seen any lineups with all three yet, but maybe they are lurking….

    Anyone know am/pm splits?
Or not out because round didn’t finish

am/pm splits will make no difference. It’s cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms each day. No wind at all.

I live in Durham. 45-50 miles east of Greensboro.

I could break 80 tomorrow at Sedgefield if they let me tee it up.

Front 9 playing almost a stroke easier than the backs, and so far the afternoon was playing a stroke easier than the morning when they stopped

Wonder why the afternoon played so much better. Could it just be variance? Weather was benign all day. Only thing I can think of is dew in the morning making it more difficult to play from the rough.

I have some good live lineups but these birdie fests are not to my liking.

  • BadAtBetting

6 players under par and not sniffing the money. But in a nice spot for 6/6 which is a must in a birdie fest tournament where chalk is smashing.

i love golf but don’t play aside from going to the driving range with my friend. i did a pitch and putt a few times as well. golf has to be the most difficult sport i have ever played. i always struggle hitting the ball off the ground with an iron…can never seem to hit it cleanly.

then you factor in distance, club, backspin, fade, draw etc…..there is so much that goes into every single swing. it’s incredible. maybe that’s why i enjoy watching it so much.

i feel like a jerk when i complain that someone misses a putt or a fairway. considering how difficult it is to do consistently.

i rambled a bit but how many people here actually play golf? and how many people here, like me, don’t actually play but enjoy watching golf?

It was warm in the morning (70 degrees) but it was warmer in the afternoon (88 degrees). Your thoughts on the dew is probably accurate. There was no difference in wind. It was just a normal warming from the morning to the afternoon

A stroke difference is not much. Plenty of tournaments where there is a big difference.

Knox showed some life at Barracuda finally, a guy who seems to be in a bad bad patch but if he’s ever gonna get it right, this course suits. Could be worth a flyer. I just swapped all my Wes Bryan onto Knox

Don’t do it!!!! Am I too late?

    Golf – not great!

However – plunking down my free $72 bet on the Dodgers to win and opting into to the “free bet of $10* every run your team scores” – very nice!

At last year’s Wyndham, Poston did not make a single bogey across 4 rounds. Today: 6 bogeys (one of which was a double bogey). {sorry if this was already noted…had a busy day)

My hunch is 30 percent on the golf forum plays golf. You are the rare bird (pardon the pun) that does not play golf but enjoys watching golf. Given your post, you appreciate the challenge of the sport. Definitely wish you the best in your DFS endeavors.

    pick a player, A or B in a H2H

Player A is down 9.4 DK points with 6 holes and 2 golfers left (1st golfer has 4 holes remaining with a possible BOFR and 2nd golfer has 2 holes remaining and a 24 ft birdie opportunity in the AM)
Player B up 9.4 with 2 holes remaining with a 7 foot par putt in the AM.

    who ya got?

The golfer that has the hotter girlfriend or wife.

I am assuming showdown points and on that I will go with player A. Reason is I hope for the BOFR and 1 birdie more than plyer B and the pars get him over the hump.

Deep diving into the stats, how good would List be if he could just putt?

  • timusbr

    @me_Mike84

I am a bit like you. I have played a few times and I wish I could smell 100 but 120 would be more like it. I cant drive the ball, chipping onto the green runs it off and 4-5 putts is like a par. LOL the only shot over water I took, I got it on the green with a 5 iron. I had no idea how to use an iron, I toed it every time.

I took up golf DFS when college football/basketball was taboo. Since its all about sports gambling I took up DFS Golf and found it incredible. Many people on this forum helped me learn whatever I think I know now

I havn’t played in many years, Now I just enjoy the fresh air, a cold beer and cart ride. My dream is to play on one of these courses. Not 18 holes worth I just want to play from a hole side bunker to experience why these guys are great putters
