Yahoo is getting in the holiday spirit with a $1M prize pool contest for NFL Week 15, including $250K in GUARANTEED overlay. I suspect actual overlay will be much more, but hopefully not too much more so we can run this a few more times this season. We’re looking forward to a fun 2019 across Yahoo Fantasy, and wanted to end 2018 with a bang.

Click here when making your first deposit and use promo code ‘grinders30’ to get $30 worth of free play, and as always feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback.

    Dan

P.S. Sorry, we still don’t operate in FL and Canada.

Thanks, I don’t mean to sound impatient, more curious than anything about their turnaround and to make sure it wasn’t an issue with the amount for processing time.

Our general SLA is within two business days. We review every withdraw request, and as can be expected Mondays have the most payouts. Our team is amazing though and generally cranks through the entire list once per day.

Does Yahoo plan to offer college sports any time soon? Specifically college basketball?

  • Srmustangs

Im saying when referring a friend you must use a link. And sometimes the link does not work for the person. And sometimes when the link works and they enter a promo code the code says not valid for them even though they are surely new users.

This may be a dumb question but why didn’t you do this in the beginning of the NFL season instead of at the end?

It is smart and makes sense to run this promotion when the seasonal fantasy games reach semi-final and fantasy championship in week 15/16. There is a lot of interest in Yahoo seasonal games and people can get to try DFS while they are it. If some stay around the platform to play the other DFS sports in the lobby then the promotion will achieve its aim.

I am more puzzled how Yahoo can spend half a million in promotion but are not interested in expanding their DFS operation to other states in the US, Canada, Europe etc… There is a market that Yahoo can conquer but for now they are happy staying niche in some US states only. While the likes of Playon who are much smaller but ambitious are active in Europe, Australia and going to launch in the US soon.

They need to work on the app versus spending the money. User experience is a big part of people deciding what platform to use, and in its current form the app needs a lot of work.

I agree they arguably the best on season long fantasy sports, they failed to capitalize on DFS sooner now they are 3 to 4 years behind..They should really promote it Internationally… basketball is a global game… imagine China discovering DFS we could have 2 million jackpots in the future… Yahoo please go international

You can’t play on Yahoo from Canada? Only offers US and Great Britain when entering your personal information.

I think you can I have a buddy from Canada he could play.

Canada is not permitted to play paid contests on Yahoo.

I deposited on Yahoo last week to take advantage of the NFL overlay and so far have nothing but good things to say about the site.

I plan to keep both my dk and Yahoo accounts active . If you’re on the fence, give Yahoo a shot it will only help us as players to have another site competing for our business.

Also, it’s significantly easier to cash on Yahoo right now if you’re into that sort of thing. I had a few lineups cash that honestly weren’t very good.

Can not deposit for the life of me, using a super old, super legit/never a problem – PayPal account that I use for all sites both to and from. High limit, confirmed etc. For a reason I can’t figure out, it declines the “card” (I’m not using a card!)

As a ridiculous shot in the dark I was able to deposit using a f’ing gift card! But that GIFT CARD only has like $40 in it so I’m all in. Super frustrating but nothing I can do about it before lock. Hope to have this resolved for the future. Will update

To update the above, still unable to get $ deposited on yahoo. I was able to, twice, small amounts under $50 by tying a friking gift card to my PayPal account, then linking PayPal to yahoo. For whatever reason that works, but not when I try from my bank or bank visa debit card. It links no problem so yahoo gives you the impression that all is well, but after submitting a deposit request it grinds for a second then says something’s wrong with my card.

My only guess at this point is maybe my bank, or visa, blocks the transaction. That would be Yahoo dfs specific though, as I have hundreds of transactions both to and from, on Fanduel, Draftkings, FantasyDraft and other online merchants like Overstock abs Amazon.

Is there a way I can simply ship funds? Like, does yahoo have a PayPal email address I can ship to? Most places I’ve dealt with at least have the ability to receive funds. Really shouldn’t be hard, PayPal’s been great lately, in the last few years now they instantly deposit funds onto my debit card, so I don’t want to say it sticks that PayPal is your only option, it should be well sufficant – but at this point I am sorry it’s their only deposit method.

I don’t think you can use credit card or debit card to makes deposits on Yahoo. It’s Paypal or nothing, if I’m not mistaken.

I usually withdraw from one site directly to PayPal and then use that withdrawn money to deposit on another site via my PayPal balance. That bypasses the need for a credit card and/or bank account. Might not work depending on how much you want to deposit, etc but it is a viable option, albeit not overly convenient.

With the investment we’re making in DFS now and heading into 2019, I’m going to push to get back into Delaware next year. No promises but I’m hopeful.

Sounds good Daniel. I am sure you realize I was just venting and my frustrations are not directed at you personally. Here’s hoping us First Staters will be able to compete soon because, IMHO, you folks provide a better product than DK or FD. I would be giving you guys at least 50% of my play and I know others living in Delaware share that sentiment!

  • Nosuckoutplz

Thanks for the replies guys, I use PayPal often and I’m very familiar with it and the intricacies, and I’m stumped. My new hypothesis is it has to do with the first 4 didgits of my debut card, I’ve read that some automated systems recognize certain 4 didgit paramators as a prepaid or something. Again, fully aware this shouldn’t have anything to do with a card at all, we are talking PayPal, but it’s what yahoo is saying is the error, even though PayPal is tied to my checking account (which also has a debit card), and then for extra lol’s I was able to link a gift card to my PayPal for Christ’s sake and that worked, that’s what tells me there’s something yahoo doesn’t like about the debit card tied to my checking account, or doesn’t like my checking account for some reason.

Daniel, thanks, but unless you have a way I can just ship PayPal funds, I don’t thibk you’re going to be able to help. My account is fine and I’ve already deposited twice recently and played. It’s a stupid story that you don’t want to waste your time in, unless you’re able to override the system. I’m currently at a bank opening a new checking account, that’s dedication. Killing me that you’re running these everyday and I’m watching them slip away! 🤬

Edit: if you want, and there’s a log to look at, my yahoo name is Governmentflu and wherever you are my deposits not going through, is where I’m being cock blocked
