First thing that is jumping out to me reviewing their structure is that QBs seem to be priced very high as a percent of overall salary cap.

Rodgers $48 of 200 cap with structure the same as fanduel.

I am keeping my eye on this one. As of now only 545 entries with payout for places to 28,495. Seems like this may be a nice place to capitalize on some newer players and pad the bankroll a bit.

  • mellofellowsu

Some interesting prices on there. Matt Stafford cheaper than Winston/Mariota?

Have they posted an export lineup button yet?

  • mchin1027

Great job by Yahoo IMO for blending the scoring/rosters of DK/FD. I like the flex replacing the kicker, and .5 ppr without bonuses for yardage.

Hopefully they can work out the other kinks because this looks promising.

I still can’t believe that they still don’t have an export option!

They’re obviously capable. I guess it simply isn’t a priority for them….Oh well.

This is why I haven’t bothered playing on Yahoo. Anyone know how they treat taxes/1099’s? I’m sure it’s been addressed in the other thread, but I’d rather do MLB research than sift through 25 pages.

  • huitcinq

    they letting canadians play yet?

  • Giftofgame31

Here is a copy and paste on how Yahoo handles 1099s. Simply they dont handle them at all as they dont issue any. It’s up to YOU to report your winnings.

Do I need to pay taxes on my Yahoo Sports Daily Fantasy winnings?

    Yes.

It’s your responsibility to report any Yahoo Sports Daily Fantasy total winnings you receive over $600 to the Internal Revenue Service.

Yahoo will not be issuing 1099 forms.

Why doesn’t every site do this?

  • yanksfan1

Anyone else feel like this 1099 thing is going to become an issue for Yahoo?

  • fightingjohn

So if Yahoo doesn’t do this, then how does the IRS know you got those winnings??? You really think that most DFS players would report that info on their own??? Heck no way

its a great way to get the government pissed at you (poker). issuing 1099 provides no downside for law abiding citizens (should be paying taxes regardless) and goes a long way to legitimizing you in the eyes of uncle sam

Kind of weird since they issued them for the year long real money leagues.

  • dgriff

If they were a new company maybe I would be concerned. They have been paying out season long fantasy players for many years over the 1099 amount and I am sure without any problems. They are a huge company so I am sure they have had their lawyers review this before deciding not to provide them.

if they have an ounce of integrity they would. I (hope) you are over estimating the amount of people who would purposely commit tax fraud….

Will RG have incentives for Yahoo DFS this year?

How do they calculate 1099 amounts for year long leagues (in case they change their minds)?

if you win a million on DK or FD how much do you actually get ?

From the screen shots of past MM winners, DK doesn’t withhold any taxes from the winnings. However, you’re still on the hook for the taxes. For 2015, you’re looking at giving 39.6% of the money to the IRS and another 0-10% to whatever state you live in.
