Last night on fanduel $77 entry 200k mlb grand slam 32 people tied with 224.8 pts.
Of those 32 people 11 of them have the same damn avatar and lineup. How in the hell can you explain that. This is becoming a problem and a major frustration to a recreational player like myself. Daily fantasy better nip this in the bud or the industry is going to end up like the online poker industry did

It was a lineup sellers’ cash game lineup for the night that everybody just threw in a GPP. Unfortunately they aren’t doing anything against the rules.

yea it would be like using the RG optimizer app and picking 2 SP and having the same lineup as everyone else who just blindly went with the LU the app put out. Every now and than it is going to hit and a lot of people are going to have that lineup.

  • nufced81

Guessing Kipnis (with his gaudy .225 avg coming in) was on that LU —- in three cash games I noticed , he was 79%, 79% and 68% owned

  • nufced81

and those were 100 person contests…..

i thought lineup selling was one of the few types of collusion actually against the rules at both sites?

  • osuryanf

Really a non issue to me. Sure, when we see them at the top we tend to get upset… but how often do you really see them up top compared to how many times you never see them anywhere near the top 1000?

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Let the desperate degenerates feel good about chopping 30 ways for like $1000 because they’re going to turn around and donate it right back.

Kipnis on FD was 2700 hitting on top of a potent order with a high Vegas run total on a night with several 10K pitchers. He was a plug and play for all formats regardless of perceived ownership %.

Kipnis, at 2700 in the leadoff spot for Cleveland vs Zimmerman. Was a play I saw recommended by a lot of different people.

maybe an avatar from the site they get their lineup?

  • zline34

I hope they all use the same lineup. They chop it up once they finally hit is hilarious. I bet they cash less than 10% of the time anyways.

    That’s a bad bet.

Bobby, since you like to keep track of this, can you tell me how these people are doing tonight? I bet they aren’t even cashing, and you just got like 20 free spots of dead money.

It is dead spots and dead money nothing to worry about. When you first start to play DFS it can be frustrating seeing the same player winning 10 to 20 spots in the top 50, but then you realize it doesn’t happen that often. Like someone else has mentioned more times then not you dont even see these players in the top 1000 or even worst. Once you realize how to go around it then it becomes a non issue.

  • billholler

Maybe you should take a whole bunch of H2Hs? Should be safer for you….oh wait…..never mind.

  • BobbyTheBrain

U seem pretty offended by my post boss…seems like every time i see the integrity of dfs being jeopardized and call people out your the first one to stick up for them. Hmmmm. You definitely cheat at golf dontcha Billy boy. You know what they say about people who cheat at golf right?

  • superstars92

I agree using a lineup selling service is pretty cheap, but I bet these lineup buyers lose more money than they make because keep in mind the lineup itself is not even free so they have to essentially pay a higher entrance fee.

Never understood why people use lineup sellers. Like the only winners here are the lineup sellers themselves…the buyers are net losers.

The same avatar? If you mean the no avatar, then you really are reaching.

Because certain DFS line sellers are asking that you put their logo on, so they can track it, and be sure lineups arent being resold. I know a few top DFS guys that are asking their customers to do this.

One in particular, was just brought to light in a big double, where they had like 200 entries of the same lineup. Thing is, I believe they can get away with it…I seriously doubt FD or DK really cares. But yea, thats why you are seeing people with the same avatars.
