    TPC Louisiana
Course Par Value: 72 • Course Yardage: 7,341

    2015 Winner – Justin Rose -22
2015 Cut – players needed to be -5 to make it thru to the weekend

Top players this week include: Day, Rose and Fowler

Master architect Pete Dye designed the course, working in conjunction with PGA TOUR players Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson – a New Orleans native. The breathtaking scenery at TPC Louisiana’s golf course, stretches over 250 acres of wetlands along the Mississippi River delta.

The golf course layout incorporates stately stands of cypress and oak trees – with Dye adding plenty of water hazards and bunkers to make for a highly interesting game. The golf course features over 100 bunkers as well as five ponds, which come into play.

TPC Louisiana boasts a series of short but compelling par-4 holes to balance the longer ones and delivers a great blend of challenge and playability. The signature hole on the golf course is the par-5, 18th hole. Water is in play for the entire right side of the hole.

Besides the studs this field might be worse than last weeks

  • Frustrated

It’s amazing how some golfers seem to fit so well at a course yet they no show. At Heritage Stenson and Moore fit perfectly on paper, but weren’t in the field. This week the horse that’s not on the course is DeLaet. Louisiana has given up wins to first timers, extremely easy course, wedge/iron play rewarded and bad putters aren’t penalized. Seems perfect for DeLaet.

I agree with you, Frustrated. Everything I looked at points to this being a great course for DeLaet.

This seems like a week for me to lighten my exposure. Rickie Fowler shot -4 and missed the cut last year. This week seems like a crap shoot. I never do well in tournament like this. Probably play a couple qualifiers and a small double up. Good Luck to all this week.

hoping for no weather issues !

You can stop thinking about DeLaet as he is not in the field this week

Edit – I missed the part where the OP said that he was not on the course this week – sorry for the duplication.

They probably have a man crush on that beard. Not gonna lie it is nice though.

Fowler missed cut here last 2 years

2015 – 72-68 to miss by one shot
2014 – 75-72 to miss by five shots
    2013 – he was T32
    2012 – he was T10
    2011 – he was T26

I think putting will be the biggest factor since this is an easy course.

Fowler might be a fade due to the fact he is thinking about the players and defending his title next week..

How do we treat Rickie and Smylie after their spring break bender last week? Will any of that carry over to this week or is that fan fiction?

Interesting that last year (2015) at this event, scoring was a little better across the board in that there were 8 players who received the “4 Rounds Under 70” Bonus where in 2014 nobody shot 4 rounds in the 60’s and even stranger is that in 2013, only 1 person received it (Nick Watney) and he finished T15 with four rounds of 69. In 2012, only 2nd place Ernie Els would have got the 4U70 bonus.

    Its up in the lobby.
I made it for 50 entrants and changed it to 50/50 because this will be another very hard tournament to pick top 10 players and players making cut.
