    TPC Louisiana
Course Par Value: 72 • Course Yardage: 7,341

    2015 Winner – Justin Rose -22
2015 Cut – players needed to be -5 to make it thru to the weekend

Top players this week include: Day, Rose and Fowler

Master architect Pete Dye designed the course, working in conjunction with PGA TOUR players Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson – a New Orleans native. The breathtaking scenery at TPC Louisiana’s golf course, stretches over 250 acres of wetlands along the Mississippi River delta.

The golf course layout incorporates stately stands of cypress and oak trees – with Dye adding plenty of water hazards and bunkers to make for a highly interesting game. The golf course features over 100 bunkers as well as five ponds, which come into play.

TPC Louisiana boasts a series of short but compelling par-4 holes to balance the longer ones and delivers a great blend of challenge and playability. The signature hole on the golf course is the par-5, 18th hole. Water is in play for the entire right side of the hole.

anybody like Bohn to come through this week? I am fading Ricky this week….(drops head)

I do but he didn’t make my final cut – only playing a handful of GPP lineups and focusing on cash games this week as I think I found the “sweeping all of my cash games” secret sauce lineup….I hope anyways !

Edit – I have no exposure to Fowler either but only have 5 or 6 total lineups

Really struggling and not feeling good about any lineups this week.

At least one of my algos likes Joe Affrunti, but I can’t figure out why – so I will do what I said I wouldn’t, and am avoiding him.
But will note it here in case anyone else is crazy enough – last week I got burned by not playing what algos said in two places.
(I suspect too little data is the issue, which makes some potentially good looking things look better than they should)

I stacked Fowler this week after completely ignoring his last 2 years in New Orleans. Previous 2 years were good. I ended up duplicating all those lineups and switched Fowler with Berger or Rose (where he fit).

As for Toms, he is almost a guarantee to be playing Sunday. He won’t be -20 but -8 to -10 is plausible. Probably not enough to win real golf but nice to have in fantasy golf.

Affrunti shot a million in his last PGA tour start but has made last 2 Web tour cuts 44th and 35th plus had a 2nd place finish in his last start 2 weeks ago on the PGA Tour Latin America

He missed the cut here last year (in his only appearance) but did shoot 71-69 -4 to only miss the -5 cut by 1

With 200 bullets, he might be worth a couple ?

I have him. My only pic that low.

Anybody know where you can find efficiencies from certain distances? When you click on the desired yardage range on the pga website, it loads a blank screen.

Is anybody on Lucas Glover this week? I think he’s a safer pick than some other guys around his price point such as Mahan, Campbell and Wilcox.

    Thanks guys

I like him. Not sure if I’ll take him yet, but definitely rosterable. On the other hand, Wilcox will give you an explanation of why things didn’t work out and you can give him grief on Twitter.

Edit: and he can even send you some balls if you go 100% on him and he fails you. I like him too.

I like him every week. Do not recall ever rostering him and watching him completely tank on 1st 2 days.

Whenever I think of Glover I instantly picture a 8’ high x 4’ wide jet black question mark.

There is such a difference in Draftkings lag time between baseball and golf.
    In golf it’s about 1-1/2 – 2 holes behind.
In Baseball, Draftkings is faster than live TV.

I love Glover this week and agree with you that he’s the safest pick of anyone at that price point. Ultimately his putting will determine how high he finishes, but either way I think he is a safe bet to make the cut.

You can. They can build LU by Mondays afternoon soon after salaries are out.

So i made 14 LUs this week. Mostly cored Smylie/Horschel. Went heavy on List, Glover, Levin, Wilkinson, and a few on Hoge for my punts. I noticed I have a pretty even split between CH3 and Tringale. I like Tringale’s history better, but I have a feeling he’s going to be very high % owned and I have doubts about his current form. I guess I have a day to stew over it.

  • qatman

One lineup for me with two stars and four scrubbish players. The last two spots are going to come down to Kaufman/Vegas or Berger/Goosen. I am leaning toward the latter, although will probably play the former in a GPP. Vegas should be extremely low owned at least, but I mostly play cash games so am not overly concerned about that.

Jim, I got the last spot in your 50/50. 26th place here I come.

  • Dewoc19

5 lineups, 16 guys…. that’s 10% of the field and only 43% of the field makes it to the weekend, do I have to many players selected, should I trim that down? seems high to me so wouldn’t surprise me if the answer was an astounding yes

  • JimKronlund

Sounds good if you are happy with your picks. There is no right or wrong answer in that sizing.
Do you want more exposure to capture a lower ownership guy or higher top end guy for a better chance to have the winner? Or more guys to help your chances to get a 6/6 thru? Honestly those are only questions that you can answer and you would not be right or wrong whatever your choice would be. For myself I would make more teams to try and “box in” your core picks with outliers. I enter 200 LU’s in GPP and hybrids so I have a different strategy however. Cash game people will maybe offer different advice. Your budget that you wish to risk is also a big factor.
Good Luck and remember no one has a “right” answer so just get to the point you are most comfortable with and enjoy the ride. You will always have that “DOH” moment when someone in the tournament does well and you were going to pick him.
