PGA Weather for the PGA Championship in Louisville, KY. Follow Roth on Twitter, @KevinRothWx.

  • green   *THURS AM* - Could see some patchy fog in the very early morning, but it will be dry with winds only at 5mph.
  • yellow   *THURS PM* - Winds barely increase in the afternoon, I'll call it 5-10 though I expect they stay comfortably below 10mph. A chance of rain late, 5pm or later for any golfers still on the course.
  • orange   *FRI AM* - The good news is that wind is still manageable, Winds 5-10mph through the morning. The bad news is that it looks very wet, with scattered rain showers and isolated storms possible all day long. I think rainfall totals in the morning stay low, so maybe they just play in the rain until they can't (which could happen in the afternoon)
  • orange   *FRI PM* - Winds pick up a bit, topping 10mph, but again the rain is the big concern. Likely even more rain in the afternoon than in the morning, it may be a washout.
  • orange   *WEEKEND* - Rain remains a big issue, especially on Saturday. We could pick up heavy rain on Saturday, especially in the afternoon (that would include potential lightning). Sunday isn't fully dry, but rain chances are just isolated with light winds, all in all a nice Sunday.
  • green   *MONDAY* - Adding this in because they may need a Monday finish... the weather is great Monday, light winds and no rain.
  • orange   *OVERALL* - There's some clear weather concerns here with the rain Friday and Saturday, and it may lead to delays and/or a Monday finish. However I don't think there's a clear build to try to minimize wind impacts, so I think you build how you'd like and roll with the rainy punches.
