CBB DFS Slate Breakdown: Wednesday, December 22nd

The slate is a little bit bigger today, mostly it seems because this is the last big slate before Christmas and there is no NFL today. We will go ahead with a longer-form article today, and hopefully DraftKings decides to try at some point in the contest sizing.

Youngstown State (59)

This is probably a team that you can just ignore for the most part – Jerrod Calhoun is playing 9 guys 10+ minutes, and none are guaranteed 30. With a team total under 60 and no real usage dominant guys, it’s probably just OK to ignore this team on an 8 game slate. If you wanted to play someone, the two guys who make the most sense are Michael Akuchie ($5,400) and Tevin Olison ($5,100) who are the most likely to hit 30 minutes. They have played under that in the last couple as they have been blowouts, but they are the two guys most trusted by Calhoun. Akuchie has nice rates – a great offensive rebounding rate and is the best offensive player on the team. He’s the one guy I might consider in GPPs today, especially considering that WVU is very poor at defending the paint and poor against offensive rebounds.

Cash Viable: None
