Welcome to the weekend and to SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Curtis 2. This card is being held back in the APEX in Las Vegas with a limited crowd, and with one fight (Rodriguez vs. Calvillo) being cancelled at weigh-ins on Friday, we are down to 12 fights for Saturday. This is card isn’t the highest-level Fight Night with the major UFC 300 Pay-Per-View event right around the corner next weekend, but it should be a fun card with some high-action fighters. This card features some fights with a good chance of ending inside the distance and some live underdogs as well, so let’s see if we can find some overlooked fighters to help us take down a GPP this weekend.

Curtis won this matchup the first time when he beat Brendan Allen in 2021, and he put up over 100 DK points in the process in the 2nd-round KO win. Now he has 2 extra rounds to work with in the main event. Curtis has proven to be tough to take down and stuffed 20 takedown attempts against Rodolfo Vieira in his fight after the last Allen fight. Curtis doesn’t throw for extremely high volume, but he can get a knockout with any strike and may not need a huge score with his underdog price tag.
